I saw a dog running on to the pitch when Darlo were plying their trade in the Northern League. About 13-14 years ago.

They were playing away at one of those little Newcastle sides, probably Newcastle Benfield, who in fact do have one, semi decent side stand that we were sat in.

The dog, a little scruffy black thing, ran on from the far corner and just ran around everywhere with players chasing it before it was caught and removed, it was very entertaining.

Also in the same match a ball was hoofed into our stand and hit an elderly woman on her coffee holding hand, hurting her and sending hot coffee all over.

This was quite concerning and most definitely not entertaining.
