My brother and me are only a year apart so ended up getting exactly the same thing…one year Rawhide outfits like all the other kids in the road, then white hunter outfits for everyone (and probably banned now as politically incorrect).
We even got the same train set each when we were 9
Best of all, when I was 10 I was given a ‘Car coat’ with a fancy collar…a cap and a pair of those string and leather driving gloves…..I must halooked like a very young Leslie Phillips……ffs we didn’t even have a bloody car banghead …..not quite the same on the No 6 bus going to me nan’s. :angry-tappingfoot:

Scraping the frost off the bedroom windows (on the inside) to see if it had snowed on Christmas morning...it hadn't. So the present got put away for next year. Finally got that Action Man in 2009!!
Got a Tangerine every year though...AND WE WERE LUCKY!!! Try telling the kids of today etc etc!!! sadx

people mention snow on christmas day. its rarer than than getting a present for the other half who hasn,t got that hidden somewhere in the house. must be able to count on one hand actually seeing snow on the ground never mind it snowing on the day. climate change is certainly correct as all the cards you get have snow pictured on them even if you get one from a country thats flat on the equator.
