F*cking Sutton away if we beat Tamworth. Gateshead got a home draw, Spennymoor and Stockton both away too.

As I mentioned elsewhere Pools always get shitty draws. Give the lads who don’t regularly feature a run out vs Tamworth and repeat the exercise against Sutton if they manage to win. Otherwise, the sooner that we are no longer involved with this annoying distraction from the primary target this season the better.

To be fair we've already beaten both teams... Sutton don't have a 3G anymore so no reason (if we win tomorrow) we can't go and beat them in the next round. It's not an easy draw but it's not massively tough either so not too bad, apart from the fact it's another trip to London...

We are so luckless that if we got through to the F.A.Cup semifinals and the other 3 teams left in the competition were Man U, Newcastle and Bournemouth, we'd draw Bournemouth.

It is indeed a shit Draw, as per usual- though immaterial if we fail to get past Tamworth

Reckon it's guaranteed that whoever we lose to- will inevitably get to the final- will only be happy with that, if it is the final!

At least then both the fans and players alike will be less star struck and used to the surroundings for when we win the playoffs! rolf

Well they are if we want a trip to wembley. Sometimes getting a shit draw pools upset the odds, i remember when we got wycombe couldnt get any worse and we won.

I was at Wycombe that night (the beginning of the Palace cup run)- weather was shocking and they missed a couple of decent chances, when it appeared easier to score. Had a few beers after the match with a few fellow Poolie Exiles

talk about the interest being sucked out of you. not sure if i,ll bother watching the stream tonight and might nip over to rochdale to watch stockton if the dale get through. have we actually ever beaten sutton anytime at their place and could not give a toss now who they,ll be playing in the next round. further you go in kp competitions the worse it is when you do get knocked out like rotherham a few seasons back.

york, barnet and the world conquerors gateshead also out. giving some luck in the draw spenny could be playing gainsborough in the final if they show more interest than some of the others seem to have in this dying competition. by the time we get to the final it will be played somewhere like rochdale to accomodate the clubs and fans who are actually interested in it.

Totally bottled it.
Anyhow good luck Spennymoor.
Would like to see the Trophy stay in the North East.

Maybe Pools start getting past the early stages just for a change.

How the ambition levels have dropped off recently.
Ah well.
Musent grumble to much.
