Just watched a program about the above. They pumped all the air from a glass dome which has a clockwork mechanism that will ring the bell inside. When started the bell just like the " old style " metal alarm bell rings. But because there is no air inside there is no noise at all even though the bells is activated. Yet they show the Appolo 16 astronauts hitting metal on metal hammer style and you can hear it very clear. Air is needed to transmit sound and that is no longer a theory its a fact. Do any of you still believe we went to the moon.

What was the point of going in the first place, there’s bugger all there.
Just a job creation scheme for ‘scientists’ who failed to get a taxi licence.

What exactly have we gained from going to the moon….?
What could have been done on Earth with all that money?

We gained nothing but the USA gained ultimate Word dominance & power. That amount of money ( which back in the 60s 70s 80s 90s was a colossal amount ) used for the better would surly have ended poverty and made standards of living very high for evey American citizen. Instead it was probably used to finance a World take over and ultimate control by the few over the masses. Allegedly

I just like to see the moon in the sky and left well alone…..I honestly believe it was a big dick waving exercise that got out of hand.
Remember as a kid in the 60’s telling us about holidays on the moon etc, etc, yet they still haven’t worked out how to stop car tyres puncturing..

not my subject but would guess something invented by the space industry might be used now in our everyday life. would road vehicles have improved as much after WW1 and would the jet engine have been as quickly without WW2 or spam for that matter.

There's people chucking money at grown arse men kicking a leather bag about a field, often making them millionaires for it. At least space programs generate tech that helps normal people. Probably saved your life or someone you love.

Or the atom bomb invented……….for every advance war brings it brings advances in killing more people more quickly.
Bur regards space travel, they brought us ….non stick frying pans believe it or not…..some bill to stop a fried egg sticking…..how about using the money to provide clean water around the world instead….?

Ps….The Yanks spent a fortune trying to design a pen that would write in space, the Russians cheated….they used pencils.

Maybe we could have discovered whatever they discovered a lot cheaper than that prestige project to outdo the Russians.
And…..also solved a few more basic problems that kill an awful lot more people on the Third World.

Maybe. But many good things came of it (the atom bomb didn't come from a space prgram). I just love the hypocrisy of people watching millionaires having a kick around rolling around on the floor every farts end while moaning about money being spent on space projects.

If something is stupid for millionaires to do, then logically it’s stupid for anyone else to do.
Also he describes Pools as a basket case yet clings on to the wreckage.
I rest my case…..your honour
