Agree- I'd give Mathurin a start as well - the way things are going with him Palace are never going to loan us another player, and it's not as if he's rubbish! And start Billy Sass-Davies!

For me the play-offs have to be the Number 1 priority - I'd much rather be at Wembley for the play-off final than for a non-league trophy! Either Pools have got a strong squad or they haven't - make changes for the start of the game and pack the bench with the likes of Mani D, Joe Grey, Charman and Ferguson. They'd all benefit from a breather.

its fine making the play offs if only we have a chance of reaching the final and being promoted. we might have improved but still need a couple of really good players to compete with teams like barnet, forest green or york where we,d have to most likely play 2 out of that 3. last time we reached them i feel we had a better side than the present one but with any luck in the draw this one could reach the trophy final.

If Pools made the play offs then promotion Pools would need some serious investment which season tickets sales would not provide nor does Singh have the finances either to support it.

Organization and 100% commitment Dosent cost a fortune.
If we go up it's the perfect time to sell up for Sing.

But think he'd rather do what he did last time and bleed the club back into non league.

We needed "a couple of really good players" to make the play-offs last time and didn't sign them till December - Luke Armstrong and Jamie Sterry.

For whatever reason - even if it's just because Raj is crapping himself about losing the last of the EFL parachute money - he has already loosened the purse strings this season, so it's up to Lennie & co. to talent spot and make the case to gat a few more in. Sterry wasn't an expensive signing and Armstrong was a loan deal.

We've got 2 really good players getting spelks in their arses on the bench in Mancini and Lua Lua.
Mancini might be a bit of a maverick but Lua Lua has shown he'll graft as well as make things happen out wide.
We've also got a player who'll score goals bit were not playing to his strengths in Mani D.
Too much respect shown to every side in the div so far.

Very little chance of going up with the start we have had, even if we make the playoffs some strong teams up
There this year

At least we have stopped embarrassing ourselves as much recently

7 or 8
Changes at least for next week, get the players rested up for a tough December

Hang about, I suspect it’s our best chance of a bit of glory this season so a win to me is vital.
Not saying we can’t get in the play offs, far from it, but what’s wrong with going for both …?

want pools to win every competative game we play and play our strongest side in them all. no midweek game this or next week so that cannot be excuse for resting players who would be involved in training anyway.

Still need to make full use of the squad and make sensible changes for Trophy games. There are 6 rounds of the FA Trophy including the Final. 5 of those rounds in the sharp end of the NL season, between January and May. Clubs who make the last 4 places in the play-offs have a 49 game league season.

It's not really surprising that in the last 10 years only Harrogate have won the FA Trophy AND won promotion to the Football League in the same season, and that was in 2020 when the NL season was stopped in the middle of March!

Thebad start is in semi rectification mode.
We Gunna peak into a winning sequence from February.

It's still a no excuse season and now or never.
So believe in the Leonard fairy tale.
