Last 6 games put us 7th and last 4 games we are 6th. No team has won the last 4 out of 4 and if we had beaten
Eastleigh which I am sure we would have with 11 players we would now be joint top of the recent 4 games. Keep up the steady progress Mr.Burns your plan is slowing working out.

You always get one. team that comes up on the rails, out of the pack- why not us?

We've had a pretty average season overall as most would agree- However if only one of those draws had been turned into a win and we'd be joint seventh.

We just need some consistency of winning results and we'll fly up the table.
Next half a dozen league games are critical against some reasonable opposition, if we can average 2 points a game between now and the end of January we'll be in good shape to make a realistic challenge towards the top. They're really are no great shakes in this league, or any team we should fear.

As Auld Len says 'small steps!'

Every team goes though different spells of form, I wonder which of the top teams will suddenly encounter that problem because there’s always one that suddenly drops by the wayside and fades away. sctatchinghead

no they wont. want us to get involved in them but getting there and failing in the first game might feel worse than finishing 8th.

Don't think it's possible with only 3 games.

We need to get the Supersubs on a lot earlier to stop dropping home pts.

Lenny’s Lions are on the prowl, ready for a feeding frenzy on the Tamworth offal. The only fear is that they end up chewing their own paws off.

They’re a four points behind us, hardly gonna be a walk over.
But I’d like it to be……
Some are talking as though they’re two leagues below us.

Agreed, this will be no walkover - Tamworth have beaten two 3rd tier clubs in the FA Cup to date, we couldn’t even get past 6th tier Brackley FFS. At the end of the day, it’s a ‘nice to win’ game but the clubs priority surely has to be reaching the play-offs. As I see it this game represents an opportunity to rest key players, give fringe players a competitive run out and maybe experiment with tactics/formations.

I reckon we are in the middle of a 16 match unbeaten run. :ugeek:

if we were in their situation with a plum 3rd round home game i,d say tamworth would be odds on to win this by a clear margin. its just pools who,ll do their best to cock things up on the day. expect both teams to make changes and wonder if there will be a phone call between both managers prior to the day discussing this. like the trohy games in the past it did feel a bit coincidental that both teams seemed to have a similar number of changes to the previous league games.
