I ordered a microwave through Amazon Prime last Thursday with a delivery for Saturday. Never came and was emailed it was coming Sunday, never came again and emailed again it was coming today.

Me and wife looking out and waiting for knock at door and when I next checked my emails found a message from Amazon saying it had been delivered with a photo showing a Toshiba box on my doorstep.

Went to front door and bugger all there! I don't think it was stolen, I reckon the driver took a photo and then picked it up and popped it back into his van. No one would suspect him as he would say he delivered it.

Anyone else had this experience?

Or someone passing nicked it.
My daughter left her top on the front lawn and saw a couple in their early 30’s walk past and stopped and came back so we all got behind the front door and as she picked it up and turned to go we all burst out…her other half legged it and the woman said she was bringing it to the door….then legged it  Bastards.

It's normally quiet as I live on a cul-de-sac with no real walking past the house traffic and little on the road, that's why I suspect an inside job, ie the delivery driver. Amazon are bloody useless saying they need to investigate and it will be probably be 7/10 days before an answer.

Went and bought one from Argus this afternoon and have contacted the bank to stop payment to Amazon.

regularly with parcel delivery companies. i live on grove mill drive but before you get there they pass a grove mill lane where our parcels regularly get delivered. unfortunetly they try to swear blind they have not received it and you need proof it has before handing it over including a tail pipe for a car i have but they have not. do not know what you can do to stop this happening and guess what nobody is prepared to help you and surprise surprise that includes the police. got 5 of their parcels already and the bastards aint getting them till they come round. thse trpe of things must be going on across the country and its rife.

If you can use a drop off point..
Pick up point. I know a lot of corner shops have pick ups for Amazon.. When ordering see if you can get it delivered to a pickup point that's close by.

Unless you specifically asked them to leave on your doorstep it’s the delivery companies responsibility, they should refund or replace.

if they payed there drivers more and not put them under as much pressure there might not be this problem. when royal mail deliver its funny these problems never happen.

They don't get any business from me. I want to see it before I buy it.
Far too many horror stories for my liking. We have a community forum locally and it is rife with non deliveries, delivered to wrong address etc etc.
Not worth the hassle.

Personally I've never had a problem with Amazon. Wouldn't say the same about one or two of the other carriers - particularly Ev'ry.

A bent driver who made a habit of nicking stuff he claimed to deliver wouldn't last long when the customer complaints started to pile up.
