Even if you moved on after purchase..the house had to be offered to the council first.

It was 3 years as a tenant before you can buy.Then you have to live there 5 years before you get back the full discount back on offer.Sell before 10 years are up and the council gets the first offer.

People don’t realise you could buy your Council house long before Thatcher,,,she just made it compulsory for anyone to have the right…before that it was on the Councillors whim, which is unfair.
They started council house sales in the late 50’s but it was possible from the 30’s onwards but difficult…….but not Thatcher and did the Councils invest the money in new Council houses….?

And you could get a mortgage from the council which was generally 1% below the Halifax.

I’d like to leave a decent country for my kids and grandkids to enjoy if you don’t mind ffs

he is half right as bad stuff is happening from non migrants and none of them are part of the anglican or catholic cjurch for a start. its just we have our own problems that have always been around and do not want anymore added to it.

what i have seen is a lot of ali whats his name killing another with a similar name. it aint just a non white v white scene and if that happens it still gets more publicity but not from the MSM though.
