In goal for Barnsley again last night who are in the mix at the top of league 1. Was it just poor goalkeeper coaching that he lacked to improve his coming for crosses etc or the crowd on his back making him nervous?

I always liked him as a goalkeeper although at pools he had an odd mistake in him. I think it was his last game when he played an absolute blinder.
I once sat next to him in the CK stand when he wasn't even on the bench and he kicked every ball and twitched constantly. He was 100% focused.
Yes i think the crowd didnt help but i dont know about the coaching.
Really pleased that he has progressed so well.
Good luck Ben.

He had weaknesses but was a much better keeper with a higher potential than most realized on here…a few more astute fans noticed this but I can’t recall which…

He played 8 games last seasonand he's played 3 this season, hardly proving his detractors wrong in reality.

what he has done prior and past being a pools player has no real significance of what he did with us which mainly was second rate. did not make him a better keeper because his replacements have not been up to much either.

Didn't Lee Barrett go on to play regularly for Ipswich, but he was still shite for us?

Now he was SHITE - sure he basically chucked one in, away at Northampton, when all he had to do was stand still- I got some shit for that, off the natives banghead

Though he was competing with Jan Budtz for the No1shirt - think we resorted to a coin toss in Friday training to see who got the gloves.

would have conceeded with both frauds in the nets together. budtz the one game wonder for donny rovers in a penalty shoot out against a premier league club in the league cup and was quickly dropped by them so pools had to sign him. clueless yet again.

Noted that he had an assist for Barnsley second goal. Pools signed him on the way he played for Braintree against us in that game he made his final game v Stockport seem like a poor one.
