1-0 to the Minstermen. Pools play well but cant take their chances and York grab a late winner with a deflected shot.

Fcuk knows::

Could win
Could lose with MannyD getting a suspension.
Could draw n LL makes out like we've won the champions league.

15th so 1st scenario is over welcome.
UTP.

They're not a team of superstars looking at their careers history, but they've only lost 1 in the league this season which suggests they're a highly effective and well organised unit.
On the contrary, based on career histories, we have what look like what should be the better individual players. But we've hardly looked like an effective or well organised unit.
Can't see anything but a comfortable home win. But hopefully I'm wrong and we nick it with a Mani D goal from a pen in the 97th minute. I'll put a bet on York to win or the draw and that should clinch the Pools win I reckon.

York will give us a very good game but i think it wont be as one sided as the table suggests - it never is at this level. York are having their little spell - we could quite easily be the team to knock them and they go on a bad run. Happens all the time. Still think Barnet or FGR win the league like. Can see it being a draw and a well battled game.

York just signed David Ajiboye, that's one hell of a signing for this level. He is definitely a super-star for the National League.

Pools are still an unsettled mess coming up against a team bang in form, adding quality to their ranks & with a manager getting an absolute tune out of them. They've also just scored 2 at Wycombe, who are top of League 1.

They create consistent overloads on wing-backs & are one of the top attacking teams in chance creation in the division - so my concern is going to be on Ferguson's side where I predict a lot of balls being fired in to the box.

Football is a funny old game, but I think the York force is too strong this time. I think 3-0 York and the heat cranked right up on Raj & our short-comings in the dugout where uncertainty prevails...

was just about to post this...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Ajiboye

was at Sutton when they won the league am sure - hell of a player ! was back there last season on loan

will be a good player for York - shame we cant grab more of these type of players tbh. Crying out for a winger again having lost the Charlton lad. Also believe we need a striker to partner Mani D - Grey is good but still need something better a think. Madine will be gone come xmas id imagine

Genuinely surprised he has dropped to National League. Used to tear the division apart - including against Pools before - & had done a decent job in League 1. Though - it will be guaranteed game time, he's linking up with a former manager & only a short stint until January.

He's still on Peterborough's books but it looks as if they don't believe League One is his level. The vast majority of his goals have been scored in non-league.

I dare say York would swap him for Mani D in a heartbeat - not that he's their player to swap

As LL would say:

Could be a little step forwards
OR
Could be a little step backwards
OR
Neither a step forwards OR backwards

If sheer numbers of backroom staff were a guarantee of success, we would win 6-0. As it is, I wonder if the old proverb about too many cooks could be a factor.

Too many cooks may spoil the broth, but too few might mean no broth at all.

Glad LL has made it clear he will dictate the tactics ang pick the team, it looked like it was going to be a committee of 3/4 were going to make decisions. I hope that it is not a repeat of Gateshead las season when they had such a big following and secondly that there is no trouble as at Pools last season. Not worth it lads it is only a game. This said I hope Pools win it.

For fans who can't make today's game.

DAZN is finally up and running today to cover selected live national league games.

York v Pools on today.
No need to subscribe if ya got IPTV.
Should be more reliable than the national league section which can be hit n miss despite the odd Bullshitter claiming every game is perfect.

Signed up for that on Thursday, sounds like a reasonable deal…but none of them help you get rid of the wife for a few hours so I’ve turned a spare bedroom into a ‘meeeja’ room( a tell and two chairs)…..with four bolts on the door…she can pick locks.

I’m hopeful but expecting nothing …. but, interested to see how we progress in our performances away from the nightmare of Sarll’s Blitzkrieg football.

or for one match only we could go back to it seeing how they are riding high in the league. bit different playing sarll ball at york than it was at ebbsfleet. think many of us would take a 0-0 now.
