So 55year old blokes low on confidencecan show off their tattoo’s on the knobbly legs after being persuaded by their nagging wife and dumb daughters they look ‘sexy’ …..so they do as they’re told…and eventually one leg looks like a Victorian wallpaper pattern catalogue and the other features macho scenes from a comic book…with confusion added by various varicose veins only to find nothings changed …. apart from cold legs.
Other reasons could be available ….. but I have my doubts.

can still remember being 13 and having to wear half mast trousers till they wore out due to growing therefore anything now not full length is a real no go. anyway by the look of most tracky bottom wearers they have never seen a track anyway.

finding a pair of shoes is also getting harder if you are not into trainers that can cost well over £100. a black suit with a waistcoat that ends up with the wearer having a pair of white trainers on either shows up my age or having a better taste.

Dropped 2 pair 1 black and 1 brown pair brogue type at the Hospice Shop in the town centre last week, cost £60 from Next a few years back, only worn a couple times if you are looking for some shoes size 42.

I go commando, thong gets stuck in your b** with the hot sweaty weather, certainly put weight on after drinking Forged Irish Steel stout in the 9 Anchors pub in Seaton, smashing drink similar to Guinness but not as bitter.

They are sheer garbage/bilge/lightweight rubbish.

Let's look at Emmerdale, the wife is an addict. It's set in a little Dales village supposedly much smaller than Leyburn or Hawes or Masham or Osmotherley, yet there are murders, serial killers, there is a hostage situation nearly all the time. The inhabitants (when not shooting each other, impregnating each other, taking each other hostage, selling drugs to each other, driving over Skipdale Pass and having the car balanced with two girlfriends nearing death, blackmailing each other.....) are quite often very attractive men and women, well dressed etc etc -

I have to leave the room - it's trying to kill my brain cells, Scooby Doo is more believable yet man many women are addicted to this crap.

Aye,there's a put up and shut up attitude in our lounge when Emmerdale and Corrie are on  Who's writing all these ridiculous plots,it must be a Yank. And how come Cain iron bar and gun Dingle isn't serving a life sentence by now? them coppers from Heartbeat would have had him locked up by now. sctatchinghead

Who’d live in Coronation Street…it’s a crime hot spot and everybody has slept with everyone else…just slept mind you, sex is out of the question.

Emmerdale is no different they probably have 20 main actors of which around 8 are either gay or bi-sexual. I very much doubt 1 in 2 people are gay or bi-sexual in the real world. sctatchinghead

like pools having clubs like tamworth and eastleigh on their fixture list. seriously though all the minorities that do exist now where all around then but kept themselves to themselves without making the noise or having the platform they have now. a bigger platform and more noise than the small number of them actually deserve.

I don't like the constant pressure put on people to celebrate Xmas etc. I was talking to my sons girlfriend and she was telling me her sister has 2 kids aged 2 and 4 and she recently lost her job which leaves the family with one bread winner. She has applied for a bank overdraft to give the kids some sort of Xmas but cannot afford to spend a penny in reality. She said its easy to say sod it Xmas is cancelled but try telling the kids that. My neighbours son started working every available hour of overtime since March and can afford to have a Xmas but they had no holiday this year for the first time in over 20 years. Sadly this is normal now and will only get worse year on year. rakxe

Odd that, but we’ve agreed to not buy Xmas presents for each other and not bother with a Xmas dinner, just have a running buffet…saves all the work preparing it and then clearing it all up.
Still love it but a bit more relaxed.

Just a change, the wife was sick of all the prep for the food then the clearing away afterwards (which I did) and she always said it just a big Sunday dinner… just wanted to put our feet up and enjoy the day.
Personally I hate the idea of stuffing your face all day long

unless you treat the day as a religeous festival and not one for retail its all about the kids before they want to do their own thing. until we stop making the day a competition between friends and families its going to be a nightmare day for so many. the laugh with kids is many try to break the bank for their johnnies and jamimas only to see em getting more excited by a cheap present from a neighbour.

Do the kids get taught about the real meaning of Christmas at school, celebrating the birth of Jesus or has that all been stopped now by the woke brigade. I mentioned on here before the Council used to do a Nativity Scene in the shopping centre but it stopped was in case it offended non Christians.

doubt there is a single person about who cannot tell a similar story. many just ignore them and carry on spend, spend, spend and paying up for months afterwards for their actions. its all arse about first for me. once we had christmas clubs everywhere where we and our parents paid for christmas in advance and not after the decorations are taken down. we still buy saving stamps from a couple of supermarkets but those selling them say they are not populat even with getting a few quid free when you fill the cards. if they were on an app i suppose it would be a different thing.

Of course they get taught about Jesus and Christmas.
Which Council was this that stopped having a Nativity Scene in the shopping centre and WAS the reason 'incase it offended non-christians'?? sctatchinghead

Hartlepool Council stopped the Naivety scene or possibly the owners of the shopping centre, I remember it well, it might have during the Belchers reign.

I'm 99% certain there was 1 in there last year.
Are you 100% sure the reason was....'incase it offended non-christians' and that was the reasongiven by the Council/Owners??
I'm sure if that was the case it will be easily found on the Mail website.

Regarding the Nativity in the shopping centre…..they’re selling tickets for it so I think we can safely assume it’s alive and well.

Well I've just googled 'Nativity Scene Banned Hartlepool'....not 1 article saying that a Nativity Scene has been Banned in Hartlepool'. Loads of links to Nativity Plays in loads of Schools though.

well there are ways to put em off doing it especially if you are pushing a pram or carrying a bag. scratch em by accident especially if a wing mirror sticks out. another law thats ignored like parking a certain distance from a road junction and many others. as long as you do not drink or speed when driving you can almost do anything you wish to do without any comeback.

Do the kids get taught about the real meaning of Christmas at school, celebrating the birth of Jesus or has that all been stopped now by the woke brigade. I mentioned on here before the Council used to do a Nativity Scene in the shopping centre but it stopped was in case it offended non Christians.

Of course they get taught about Jesus and Christmas.
Which Council was this that stopped having a Nativity Scene in the shopping centre and WAS the reason 'incase it offended non-christians'?? sctatchinghead

well i,m a non christian and it does not offend me. muslim or a hindu festival does not either and yet to meet anyone from those religeons who give a toss about christmas festivities. seems its only the head teachers and councillors who are in some places. where i live some of the muslim souncillors and their family actually serve the pensioners christmas dinner that includes pigs in blankets. they are serving it not being asked to eat it or celebrate the event or other ones going on.

Just been down Seaton with the dogs and cutting across the grass Ruby had a pee..an old couple asked if I was gonna clean it up….I said I carry poo bags in case I need them but they’re trained to do it at one spot in the garden, but she’s had a pee.
But he insisted I should have used a bag….I asked him to show me how…..obviously never owned a dog…but I really would like to see someone try it…

had exactly the same thing happened to me. went just up the coast to winterton as the dogs liked the dunes there. there was a towr overlooking the sea which must have been there for checking on shipping. got the dogs out of the back of the car and one being a bitch had a big long pee. this guy opened the window of this towr shouting the same about cleaning up. i just lost it and invited him down to sort it out. it was locked at the outside and he would not budge but kept on yapping. what do these odd balls want us to do. carry a disenfected spray round with us. arses.

Emmerdale is no different they probably have 20 main actors of which around 8 are either gay or bi-sexual. I very much doubt 1 in 2 people are gay or bi-sexual in the real world. sctatchinghead

If Emmerdale was set in Wales there'd be only one gay in the village and the rest of them would be shagging sheep.
