Budtz
Elliot-Clark-Nelson-McCunnie
Monkhouse-Humphreys-Liddle-Brown
Barker-Porter

Subs: Foley, Antwi, Gibb, LB, McKay

This assumes that neither Sweeney or Boland will be available.

Are you left handed Mr I?

Personally I would have

Budtz
McCunnie Clark Nelson Elliot
Brown Liddle Humphries Monkhouse
Barker Porter

Subs: Foley, Antwi, Gibb, LB, Moore

I'll go with either of those.
Also I think we need to give LB another game soon,
the defence do not seem to have total confidence in our Jan.
However making three changes is probably too many.
Having said that I'm sure DW, will go with the same team. confised

My team:

Budzt
McCunnie Nelson Clark Elliott
Brown Liddle Humphries Monkhouse
Barker Moore

Foley, Barratt, Porter, Gibb, Antwi

But I suspect Danny will pick Antwi, and put Ben on the bench again.

I think Saturday might (not a big might mind) have tipped the balance against Moore.

My team:

........Budtz
McCunnie Nelson Clark Humphries
Brown Liddle Monkhouse
.......Moore
Barker......Porter

Subs ALB, Ant, Fol, Divn, Naa

Wilson's team:

Rinse and repeat.

After Saturday I wouldn't have Elliott anywhere near the team.

But Ritchie H did well in midfield and should play there again.

Is Matty Robson fit? He played well at left back at Sheff Wed.

Away with yer man! He made one mistake. Hwever if you really must bring in a new left back, Mr Antwi fits the bill.

He was poor all game.

It wasn't a coincidence that they targeted their attacking play down their right wing when they were on top in the first half.

You might be right but in his defence I suspect that they know where his weaknesses are better than we do.

You're probably right Mr A. If us lot had our way there'd be wholesale changes every match irrespective of performance or result.

No It was because they have a right back in Frazer Richardson who bombs forward and likes to overlap and get crosses over. The right winger winger was Leeds best player other than front two, he could have done with a bit of help I reckon.

For the first goal Elliot was marking the right winger Carole who had had made a run inside, Where was Monkhouse tracking the right back? Who coincidentally crossed the ball in yards of space straight onto Kandols head to score sctatchinghead

How was the goal Robbie Elliots fault!?

Because the left back spot was left vacated for their guy to stop, have a fag and a cuppa, look up and pick his cross with no pressure on him.

And don't repeat yourself about Elliott tracking the other bloke, I heard you the first time. But as left back he doesn't leave a bloke stood on his own in that position to cross the ball regardless of owt else- he certainly wasn't busting his lungs to try and get cover for the runner or to pick up the man with the ball it was just shoddy defending by him.

Anyhow my selection...

Lee-B
McCunnie Clark Nelson Antwi
Brown Liddle Humphreys Monkhouse
Barker Porter

Would have Humphs in the middle of midfield rather than Clark so he can play centre back.

On the second thought I wouldn't mind Antwi at Centre Back.

Anyway: The Mail is suggesting the team will be

Butdz

Gibb Antwi Nelson Elliott
Brown McCunnie Liddle Monkhouse
Barker Moore

I hope the mail is wrong.

I believe McCunnie is a GREAT midfielder as well as right back. But at the moment who is going to play right back with Barron struggling for fitness?

And Nelson Antwi and Budtz had time for a trip to Wakefield and back to find their men and mark them.

The Mail said Gibb would be right back last week.

The predicted team in the Mail is hardly ever right, as its guess work from one bloke. Its got as much credibility as us speculating on here.

Is it not the Left Wingers job to track the Right Backs run? Where the fook was Monkhouse then?

It wasn't shoddy defending by Robbie Elliot or Andy Monkhouse or even Antwi, Nelson, or McCunnie. It was shoddy defending by the whole team, it was a soft, soft goal that you can't blame one person for and suggest dropping them on the back of it.

I'd keep the same starting eleven, we've done alright with it so far.

Same starting eleven here as well, theres no real need to change the team at this point (we are 5th and have just outplayed Leeds!!). I am slightly baffled by those who wouldn't even put Moore on the bench, he's got 2 in 3 and some of the runs he makes are phenomenal (just a shame our midfield doesnt spot them 9/10).

Plus he does a load of work harrying and chasing defenders.

Don't get me wrong I love Joelinho, but I fail to see what Moore has done wrong so far.

I also agree that Elliott was the weak link defensivelly at ER, however I personally dont think Robson (He's a good left winger tho..) or Humphs are up to the job at left back.

On Leeds first goal - Elliott was phuqing nowhere. Anyone can cross the ball to a beanpoole if you give them 20 seconds and 30 yards space. Crossing from such a deep posistion you are always going to favour the attacker running in rather than the centre backs.

a bit like our equaliser against Oldham last week!! Their fans will be wondering where their left back was, to allow Monkhouse to have ran with the ball for such a distance and be able to put the ball in, exactly where he wanted.
