Blyth Spartans are in trouble. New owner bearing many similarities to Coxall. Relegated last year. Nobby Solano appointed. Losses in lower division. Solano fired. More losses. Locals unhappy and threatening boycott. Makes you happy to be a Poolie!

OK, I'll get my coat, scarf, rattle and bobble hat......

We did lose 5-0 according to the F.A. Youth Cup site, so altogether a awful result, the whole club is becoming worse by the day.

This is about as clear as mud. The FA Youth Cup is open to lads aged 15 - 18 (or rather to lads who were under 18 at midnight on 31st August!).

As I understand it the Hartlepool United Academy side that plays in the EFL Youth Alliance is made up of 17 and 18 year-olds. Pools started the season with 15 1st year scholars and 7 second year scholars - the 18-year-olds.

Isn't Hartlepool College responsible for the younger age groups - the 15-and-16 year olds? So without knowing the age of the lads who turned out against Darlo -was it a side coached by Gucky or something else?

going from the past where i reffed at that level a team of mainly first years were regularly beaten by a team of second years no matter which clubs were involved. one year the team will get poor results but the nexy season the opposite happened. its hard to believe the difference that 12 months made with coaching and growing physically and mentally.
