Quite a feat in two games, it just shows the lengths dirty Leeds (like Darlo) will go to, to cheat, actually beat us again without us knowing.

You will be happy to know that Delph is suspended for this game. Beckford should be back but as I stated in another thread, his last away goal was November.

my belief is that Leeds will have nothiong to play for on that day. They won't be able to be caught by 7th place, and they won't be able to catch Leicester or Peterborough either. If there's a chance to pull someone down and get red carded, they won't do it as they won't want a suspension for the play-offs.Having said that, I can see them giving their fringe players a game, which might not help us as they will have something to prove and will want to stake a claim for a first team spot

I see it's that time of year again - what a good decision to part company with Wilson  For a while there we were nip and tuck and now you appear to be throwing away the progress made during his tenure (or have I missed the point?). Should be party time if we win 'v' Tranmere which should give you a chance to ease your relegation fears. That said we are in a bad run, only 4 points from the last 9 so we may be desperate for a win. We are there for the beating again I fear rolf

The small clubs like ours always miss out - been cheating us out of trophies we deserved for years.

For the first time since George Graham we have a 'proper' manager. We have lost our last 9 appearances in finals so you don't need to tell us about guarantees. I think we will make the play offs - after that it's all in the balance but it's never dull at LUFC. If we aren't in the play offs we are getting relegated. I don't do enough aways to get a ticket for your place. Hope it's a good do though.

That I have to say is spooky - do you use tarot?

At the risk of sounding like someone from Emmerdale again Larry has said that he wants to win both of our remaining matches - momentum! I think he may rest snodgrass and becchio who are both carrying knocks. The good news for you is that the fans favourite and the only footballer I know to resemble a cube, Robinson, is filling in for Delph - Robbo it seems 'always looks dangerous', so dangerous that he hasn't scored since October and is knackered after 20 minutes running around the pitch like a bloke being chased by a wasp. Apparently he was once Jacks player of the year - that it seems is enough to get our mercenary friend endless standing ovations. Waccoe to coin a phrase.

Must say that White Light fella always contributes in a positive way in spite of not always getting the best reception. I went to Elland Road (lot of concrete about there like) once to see them play Liverpool when Uncle Bob's L'pool had won the 1st division with 6 games to spare. I bet he'd like to be in that company now.

WLWH is the sort of away fan that we like to entertain in the Mill House, just a shame that he can't qualify for a ticket for the Dirty Leeds away end. Maybe he could travel up, and we could find him a seat, or a standing place in the home end, as long as he doesn't celebrate any goals they might happen to score.

Quality site this one. I often drop by for a look but don't generally say anything cos it's not my business. Always amusing though clappp

Do you think the odds might have been stacked against 'em and it was proabably best to move on bbolt

Always amazes me how normally sane people on websites start tallking like the 'thugs' they supposedly despise when there's a bit of bother. Our lads did your lads etc. We won the battle of the terraces. Other thing that always surprises me - and all fans seem to do this - we'll tell you what you can and can't sing/we'll tell you who your rivals should and should not be/we'll decide whether your history is worthy/unworthy. Me, I just bother with my own lot and it sounds like on the pitch we had a comfortable win. As I said somewhere else on here - I was surprised you sacked Wilson,; an excellent manager imo :coool:

not as one sided as some are making out regarding chances.A couple of excellent pieces of defending from Douglas in the second half saved certain goals. Porter almost slipped the ball into Monkhouse about 12 yards out with only the keeper to beat, but the defender came out on top of that 2v1 when it looked all but certain we would score. He took a cross right off Sweeney's head six yards out with the faintest of touches, and the ball went about a foot over Sweeney who would not have missed from there. Sweeney did a Cruyff turn into the box and tried to square it when he had the keeper as his next man to beat!! Why didn't he shoot?
Liddle missed an open goal with a woeful attempt, Nardiello waltzed through and got snuffed out by the keeper at the last second. Monkhouse missed a sitter in the first half.
We should have scored at least twice in my opinion, yes Leeds had their chances but we had half a dozen real opportunities to score and wasted them all badly

The scores on your player ratings thread are almost suicidal - what did you think of The Cube (Robinson)? Personally I see him as one of our worst ever signings - mercenary/slow/whinger/winger without the pace to go past the fullback but the crowd love him. Listening on the radio Nardiello seemed to do everything but score and Sweeney seemed to have plenty of the ball.

he did one good piece of work in the first half when it looked like he had lost control of the ball, but pulled it back from the goal line at the last second. This drew both Pools defenders on our left side to him and he slipped a ball in behind to the onrushing midfielder and we very nearly conceded from that piece of play, but managed to scramble it away from the middle.
Overall though he seemed to go to ground a lot, when it would have appeared more of an advantage to keep on his feet and keep going forward.
