Yes looks a good signing and actually involved an undisclosed fee!

It might have just been a box of kippers, as for Malcolm Poskett (showing my age here!), but nonetheless seems a good prospect and got regular runouts, albeit largely as a sub, for runaway NL champions Barnet.

Pleased with this.

Didn’t we also pay an undisclosed fee for Sheron and Folarin…I miss the old days when the fees were disclosed—at least we getting more in up front

Grayson seems to be going about his business of building a team. Bit still to go but recruiting steadily now.
I have no idea what his opinion of using the loan market but it is pretty certain he'll have his contacts.
A Cleary, Kemp and Armstrong would be nice.

People have to get some perspective. These are boggo NL signings. Steady away. They need to reread their cringey excited comments from summers gone by about signings that turned out to be bang average.

Agree 100%. The incoming signings to date willl definitely be a cut above the absolute dross that Hartley introduced and possibly better than many of those recruited over the last couple of seasons. However we still await the introduction of players (permanent or loanees) who are capable of regularly opening up the opposition and thus make the difference between yet another season of mid table mediocrity and a genuine promotion push. The likes of Mani, Clear and Mancini were all capable of such - if not always as consistently as we would like. Grayson is no mug and will surely appreciate this but will Singh's wallet match his latest appointment's requirements?

Some are going on like we have signed a world beater, he has come from the mighty barnet who loaned him out to Braintree, granted he did ok at Braintree. Pools fans don't seem to learn the lesson they bull these players up expecting great things and like you say they are just bog standard national league players.

Well for a start we've cleared out anybody who has spent a good chunk of time on the treatment table, which can't be a bad thing.

Just got to hope that we can keep our better players fit and available for the majority of the season. Whilst also avoiding needless yellow/red cards - as it cost us dearly during Uncle Darren's short ill-fated reign.

On the other hand it needs to be remembered that we don't need a massive improvement to reach a play off place, what were we 9 pints short or so, 3 wins - keeping 11 players on the pitch, a little more adventure during LLs tenure, would have possibly been enough?
We've got a proper RWB which we haven't had since Dodds injury. A new proven goalscorer. Both coming from higher levels, so not bog standard NL players. A pacy winger makes a huge difference at this level, not saying we've signed a new Cleary but at least we're addressing weaknesses.
Not saying we're going to do anything, just pointing out that last seasons efforts didn't leave us very far short of a play off position. 3 managers, 3 very different approaches and sets of tactics, maybe if Grayson can manage a full season (a big ask) he can eke out that small improvement that could make a difference?
Time will tell.

This kind of dressing up of very ordinary signings has gone on for years now and we've been dire. Absolutely crazy. I saw you list the handful of players that have been OK. If I started listing the failures I would be still here typing tomorrow. Its been crap and there's no evidence that it will get better. There is only hope that we'll get lucky and what seems like a small amount of points even to get into the play off lottery, it'll take a lot of good fortune. We've already had a Hartley-esque delayed start to things.

What dressing up?
All I'm saying is that in the end, even though we were shite for most of last season, the gap between us and the play-offs wasn't massive.
I'm not making any predictions just saying a small improvement would have us there or thereabouts. Can we make that improvement, who knows? I'm not sure who some expect is to sign at our level, but 2 from EFL clubs have potential.
Bottom line is that no matter how much we'd like a take over to happen it's not looking likely.
So we either give up on the club and team, or we give the team our support. Pretty much the lot of most Poolies throughout their lives.

Ya could say the 9 points shortage would of been 18 without Clearly.

No point in dressing up failure.

Only solution to end this shit is a change in the Big Chair.

Last season was possibly the weakest ever national league, add Carlisle to the equation and straight away it looks like another club we won't get near, along with York and Forrest green. So straight away one extra position on the play offs appears filled. Add that to any player who scored goals for us last season has now gone and we are miles short of a play off team now. We are hoping a guy that's scored a few goals for a team who created chances galore is going to come in and help fill some of that problem. Not sure how with our midfield but hey ho.

That's before we look at the utter crank running the club and the man suggesting the players who has spotted about 3 gems in 3 seasons rest have been rank. Fans get fooled every season about how good these players we sign are, oh he has come from barnet must be a hell of a signing. Well no he ended up at braintree. That should tell us a little not saying he cant be good but its not a great sign.

Anyway friendlies are upon us now so not much longer to wait. I doubt fc hartlepool will of had many sleepless nights over facing this squad though.

We conceded 5 at York withouth them getting out of second gear Gateshead 4 barnet rolled us over at their place quite comfortably. The mighty ebbsfleet should of had 4 points off us. 9 points behind the play offs might as well of been 90, especially as 1/3rd of the division gets in them This squad is now way weaker granted with a few weeks of friendlies but like many have said if we stay up next season it will be a success now. Sad but it will.

I have no faith in the guy picking these players that he is going to get much right but a lot seem to forget this and miraculously think things are going to improve.

The season was dead in the water the minute we all realised raj was going nowhere and that no matter what's said the takeover ain't happening anytime soon if ever. Even if grayson produces miracles raj will piss him off.

A basic Reality check Billy.
The spin doctors might be offended like.

I see a major growth in the Boycott of the non takeover.

We will return to normality
This shit has to have a turning point and the majority know when.

Is this the standard of player we are bringing in that will get us promotion… ?
Is this a team for mid table stability…?

Very positive in your outlook here. However
Though we were only 9 points off the playoffs we were actually closer to relegation. (8 points.)
Just saying like.

like i have said on another thread next season will be a rinse and repeat of the previous two getting close to the play offs and the bottom four without reaching them. would not be that bad if we had runs in the fa cup and the trophy to break the monotony.
