The Poolie Bunker

Oh please do tell us why you voted leave. No doubt it was some morally superior reason than most people?

And of course you know the reasons of over 17 million people ....

Thank you for the link PJ. I don't think he likes Boris.

You don’t have a case, the adults in the country aren’t bothered about your inferiority everyone’s a victim baby talk. Your baby talk is only useful in your own ever decreasing echo chamber....

Hang fire, where did I condone it? Just because I don't agree with something doesn't mean its not allowed to happen. He has done nothing illegal has he? He won't be the first and certainly won't be the last to cheat on his partner. Or do morals only exist when they suit?
If you want morals, why did Starmer decide not to pursue a case against Jimmy Saville? Surely getting a paedo and rapist behind bars is far more important than having a go at someone for cheating?

Just about every single thing that is said about Johnson and his government during this crisis is met with deflection and dramatic changes of subject.

What has Starmer or Jimmy Saville got to do with his suitability and competence as Prime Minister?

You win points for originality though for not mentioning the equally irrelevant Corbyn.

Change the record PJ. We get it, you’re not keen. You don’t get a response because it’s the same old point ad nauseum.

So you totally miss the main point in my post then.

Pj - your boy Corbin got humiliated in the election. Stop crying about it and just live your best life ....

I am no fan of Corbyn I think I have voted Labour once in my life. I have little interest in party politics even less at the minute than usual.

People like you just labeling people are seriously annoying.

Hey your right. Things might have been so much worse under Corbyn.

We might have had even more deaths
Even less PPE
Even more deaths on the front line because of the above.
Even more spin and lies.

You never know do you?

Here's a fact though. Those points a give have all happened under johnson. His government are directly responsible for the PPE shortage and therefore more than a little indirectly responsible for the deaths.

So yes. Make you sure you stand outside the door on a thursday and applaud the NHS and make yourself feel good despite voting for the very people killing them. Hypocrites.

You missed out testing. Nothing to say on that?

You’ve done nothing but cry like a bitch on here for months though PJ.

You would twist on 21 .....

I gbet you stood and applauded in your living room when Johnson Hancock and co voted against a pay rise for nurses and cheered at the result.

Yeh I Bet you did. Bey you are thankful for that NHS now though eh?

What about testing? You are not that daft that you fell for that bit of spin. Are you? That's derwentesque stupidity.

So did you agree with them blocking the pay rise? Or is that another straight forward question too difficult to answer?

Just a question for you WFA.

Who orders ppe and controls stock levels is it nhs procurement or the government ?

You would almost think something like a global pandemic was going on and thousands of people were dying.

Bunker gets closed for 48 hours.

People miss it.

Bunker re-opens

People going over the same old shit.

Let it go, the internet is just a vacuum for shouty people making noise!

Are you for real? I give you Cygnus.

So you are blaming the NHS yes?

Funny Monkeybutt should pop up, I was guessing that the combination of misogyny and PJ hatred from Johnny B Goode meant it was yet another user name for the doggy loving king of cut and paste.

Nowt to do with me stalker, you want a pop shot?

Hmm...

Space question mark.

And a space full stop...hmm.

What does cry like a bitch mean?

The sad part is it's not even about politics, more so how an incompetent government, not just a PM had an astronomical amount of time to save lives and wasted it.

Unlike you wfa im not blaming anyone i just asked you a question

Don't you understand the past tense? "I WAS guessing..." clearly implying that as you'd popped up I wasn't guessing that anymore.

Also what do you mean by a pop shot? Doesn't make sense.

Finally, stalking is a criminal offence and I'm certainly not guilty of it. It is also obviously abuse so, assuming the new rules also apply to 'chums', I expect you'll be in bother with Derwent and Mr I.

Wow, it appears you have an admirer Mr. Toulouse...

A self-confessed homophobe and now he's asking if I want him to make me come on film? Given my on-going disagreements with him he'd be far better off asking one of the mates who let him keep posting nasty stuff.

I`m not a homophobe, I just can`t watch blokes kissing, I have lesbians next door and over the road, next door bought me a Rolex for xmas, I said thanks but that wasn`t what I meant when I said " I wanna watch"!

He loads the gun, I just fire it and it takes the focus off the political hyperbole!

Better approach than answering the questions you were asked, you should see if Boris has room for another one in his cabinet.

By the way, you've admitted to being homophobic in the past as part of a convoluted explanation of how you weren't racist even though you kept cutting and pasting racists jokes. I don't want to insult or abuse anybody so I'm only referring to stuff you've openly talked about in the past and seemed quite proud of - things like the dog and grooming the under-age girl on your CB.

I'd also still like an explanation for how repeatedly accusing someone of a criminal offence without a shred of evidence isn't abuse. Where on earth are Derwent and Mr I when they're needed? I'm sure they'll be taking a firm line with your insulting antics.

You think foodbanks are a good thing, you steal money from people’s houses, a good bloke all round

I just don`t get what you are hoping to achieve with the constant bombardment of BJ, he doesn`t read the bunker that I know of, if you want intelligent replies to political questions then a football forum with a history of talking bollocks is not the place for it!
I wasn`t brought up on a deprived council estate and I had working parents, my father voted Tory and their ideals were passed on, I don`t particularly like BJ but he was elected so he is in charge.

The constant barrage is tedious, go to the one liners thread if you want cheering up

Worth a read, sadly the takeaway from this is people were scared to give evidence in 2008 when case first went to the CPS, and again in in 2009
He was the head of the CPS, he would have had visibility of this case but it was down to the reviewing solicitor

A lot more people were complicit in Jimmy Saville getting away with it, senior staff and Director Generals at the BBC for one

It was Boris who wanted the Bunker lockdown. I got an email from Cobra to shut it down as the experts on here were embarrassing the UK’s scientific community. In particular they were terrified of the Afar/Valient/PJ party in case the worlds media stumbled upon the combined Bunker wisdom.

Interesting views here about the testing propaganda and the obsession to hit a target that they plucked out of the air;

https://twitter.com/drrosena/status/125 ... 27008?s=21

They fudged the numbers with home testing kits that couldn’t even be used just to hit the mythical 100,000 a figure which still hasn’t been hit in a day. Nobody asked for that target why not just say we are working towards it and have ramped up testing significantly which you can’t deny that they have? How is this helping us fight the virus?

More healthy debate there that just amounts to mocking people.

Do you need a hug from a bloke not wearing a bed sheet darling?

Well Aye man, you’re so far in the cupboard you might as well be in Narnia

He’s as queer as a socialist manifesto.

Probably because they were getting flack for testing numbers to start with, set an ambitious target and tweaked the job so they hit it. Had they missed it and admitted to it then the usual crowd would have been laying into them for missing the target instead of everyone being pleased that testing was in quite impressive numbers anyway. Instead the usual crowd whinge because they tweaked the method of counting.
I did read somewhere that although actual tests were below 100k on that day, postal tests from previous days came back so made it over 100k anyway!

The thing with this is, if they were doomed to be criticised from the “usual crowd” whether they hit the testing target or not, then why not just take the honest route?

You’re probably right in that they’d have taken some flack in admitting that they had missed the target. But as you say at least they could turn around and say, look, we’re slightly behind schedule but we now have mass testing capability and we will hit the 100k target shortly.

I’d have more time for a government that admitted it’s shortcomings, but was trying nonetheless, as opposed to fiddling the numbers. That just makes me distrust them even more in general.

Tl;dr. I can tolerate a government that aims high and falls slightly short, shit happens. What I can’t tolerate is liars.

Exactly it is quite incredible that people are willing to accept that the government lied to fudge figures for a day to meet the deadline, like has been said if Cummings propaganda machine said they needed to be drowning 100,000 kittens a day by the end of May it probably would be accepted by swathes of the gullible.

The main point for me about the testing fudge is that it didn't matter whether hitting the target actually made a difference or not in the battle against covid-19 it was just about being seen to hit this target, thousands of these tests were useless as they failed to include a return address they were sent to anyone who'd have one in such haste many more were for people who didn't even need a test just people they could quickly get a test to.

It's like these empty Nightingale hospitals that have sprung up around the country. It seems on the face of tings a great achievement but you question whether the purpose again was to cook the books regarding critical care beds and make it look like the NHS wasn't overwhelmed whilst people are being left to die in huge numbers in care homes. I want a government to be proactive in saving lives and do everything they can to preserve human life not a propaganda machine trying to cover it's own back. It's all so staged and contrived like snake oil salesman Johnson's exclusive interview in The Sun today, which once scrutinised for more than three seconds is seen to utter bollocks full of platitudes and hyperbole going on bout Doctors planning to announce 'the death of Stalin' because that happens. They talk about us being in it together whilst trying to play to public for idiots.

Anyone willing to just accept this crap without question is complicit in my eyes. It is not ok for our government to lie on an industrial scale. It is acceptable for our government to make mistakes in handling something so complex and difficult, nowhere in the World will have got this perfect and lessons will be learned from that, I feel the problem is for the UK is our government made such a catastrophic error at the beginning with initial inaction and herd immunity that it's been self preservation and subterfuge ever since.

How do you tell if a politician is lying ???? You know the punch line.

I thought the creation of Nightingale Hospital was an awesome achievement. The fact that NHS capacity has remained above demand is a positive. Folks getting paid instead of losing their jobs is superb.

If all you do is bang on about the bad (believe me my family is directly effected) then bang goes your credibility and the ability to discuss such matters with people of differing opinions. I know many like the bunker to be shouty but maybe its one of these that need to take over running the place.

What was ‘shouty’ about my post?

I think what I am asking of the government is perfectly reasonable.

Yes on the face of it field hospitals were an achievement, but nearly all of them sit empty and unused while thousands are left to die in care homes. Does that add up to you?

Substitute the word 'shouty' for whatever word you want for the aggressive style of discussion shown on the bunker. Whichever word offends you least. You know exactly the style I mean. Its not seen on any other league 2 or national league football forum I have been on.

So youre saying that hospitals are refusing to treat care-home patients? That doesnt add up to me no. What are the care homes owners doing?

I won’t substitute any of the words in my post as none of it as aggressive, it’s serious as we’re talking about life and death here. I don’t believe I have said anything unreasonable.

I don’t know but thousands are dying in care homes without being admitted to hospital. Surely in ‘normal’ times if someone is ill they leave the home and go to hospital? Something is amiss here I am not saying anything but it doesn’t really add up to me. We are seeing all of these extra deaths though.
