The Poolie Bunker

No lectures needed but surely everyone realises that the arguments got out of hand. We can and always have disagreed but the head butting and insults are unnecessary.

Some hate the government and some support the government but does it really need to be underlined with every post?

Let’s see how we go but we are close to shutting down for good. Up to you lot but I’m struggling to justify paying for hosting a platform for people to slag me off. Can we try and be a little bit more respectful to each other.

They're very reasonable sentiments Mr I but a no abuse rule has to work all ways and be applied fairly. Derwent's post deletions and attempts to ban people weren't to do with abuse they were just people he was pissed off with.

I looked at the deletions Mr T, all included some insult one way or another. That said it’s not the normal way of things to delete or edit but then some of the recent posts haven’t been either. It’s been like Brexit times ten.

I’ve opened a mod room for discussion between mods for balance before deletions in future.

He opposed deleting his nephew's posts when he was calling people not nice people left right and centre and threatening violence. There's also been all manner of homophobic and racist stuff left on here because you and others champion free speech. Suddenly a few comparatively moderate insults get you banned or deleted as long as you're also critical of current government policy. Derwent needs to admit he got carried away, no need for apologies in the current climate but it is obvious what was going on and that it was wrong. Worth bearing in mind that Monty, no lefty and a free speech stalwart, gave up his Mod position although helooks to be back now.

Derwents a moderator?

The lunatics have taken over the asylum then?

There are points on both sides and we could argue it out for some time but can we move on without grudges. It would be preferable if points could be made without the recent venom.

You’re hardly innocent Mr Afar but let’s move on.

Think moving in with him might be going too far.

You have given moderator rights to someone thatthrestemed to shoot someone. You want respect how about earning it just a little?

You trying to tell us that your recent choice of moderator wasnt designed to cause conflict?

How about you show our intelligence a bit of respect first?

Show me anywhere where I have used threatening behaviour or bad language and I will accept your point

I’ve already said that moderating will be by discussion. Can we move on please. Few are innocent in all this so please don’t wave too many ‘I’m an angel’ flags.

What an absolute load of shite....insults one way or the other!!!
That's it for me.

Load of shite that insult weren’t thrown my way or anyone else who took a pro Government stance?. Really Neil, I’m surprised at you.
