If we did play them at the moment and both teams performed to their capability, how do you reckon the score would look?

The scoreline would match the CHASM which now exists between the two clubs.

If it was at Darlo we'd win 2-0.
If it was at ours we'd win 3-0.

Hopefully we'll have a chance to find out by drawing them in the first round of the FA cup. Assuming they qualify. Or is that a given as they won the FA trophy sctatchinghead

They have to beat the might of Hinckley to get in the 1st round.
Now Braintree (?) tore them a new crevice today...SO FOOKING FUNNY!

Mass suicides are breaking out over on Uncovered. Even Andy Park is beginning to question the Cooper revolution.

Out of the last 8 FA cup games we've had with non-league teams we've won 6 and lost 2. Mind one of the losses was against a team who went on to be relegated from the conference that season so maybe you have a point about us struggling against you should we be drawn together

I suspect social services would step in and take them into care just before kick off.

I'm not sure how much money I'd put on Darlo even being in existence on Third Round day. Their chairman is presumably still losing £20k a week just keeping them going at the White Elephant Arena, and endless mid-table mediocrity in the Blue Square Premier presumably isn't part of his business plan. With all the complications over the ownership of the ground and the land, I predict this season will be see the end of the road for the Loids.

Uncoverd is very funny at the moment on the matchday thread Quakerz said this:

Would you take a point today?

No, we need wins not fucking draws at tinpot shitholes that I've never heard of.

Brilliant

they'll be needing to look at rebuilding from scratch similar to Aldershot, Newport, Wimbledon, Scarborough, Halifax. If this incarnation goes, it would take them 10 years to get back to Conference level more than likely. At least then they would have the town behind them - and the sour taste in the mouth of not paying local businesses for the construction/maintenance of that ridiculous crumbling folly might be forgotten about. Too many stories abound regarding corner cutting with its construction to not have some mileage in them, so it's conceivable the thing might be condemned inside the next 10 years anyway

They are not stories about cost cutting. They are facts. Otis Lifts and Severfield Reeve have some unbelievable anecdotes about their dealings around the time of the construction. And the contractors were Hall Construction Services..........known more for groundworks. Truly bizarre tales abound, some even as daft the club offering season tcikets in leiu of payments.....as well as paying in cash......pound coins.

I kid you not.

Saturdays fixtures;

Hartlepool United V Charlton Athletic

Darlington V Hinckley......

I don't think much else needs adding

Apart from you've got to fancy Hinckley!

Again in the Echo today Cooper commented that the oppositions players were 'running about' and his weren't. What does he fooking manage a table football team!?

He makes John Beck sound like Johan Cruyff.
