The Poolie Bunker

Is Jamie Granda Millibean…?

Came out yesterday that all theses wind turbine owners are getting compensation for turning them off as the grid can’t cope with the output and modernising it will take nearly 30 years costing billions…so much for cheaper power bills quoted by zzMillibean…wouldn’t it have made more sense to build the wind turbines alongside the construction of the grid…..or be like other countries who use gas, oil and nuclear and much cheaper…Millibean couldn’t light a barbecue, never lecture an entire country the odd ball

It depends on the contract but in general they get wether generating or not, wtf negotiated these contacts ? If they have to shut them down they also get paid for starting them up again.
Wind producers in the UK receive hundreds of millions of pounds a year—roughly £380 million annually—in "constraint payments" to switch off their turbines when the electrical grid cannot transmit the excess power, as detailed by Octopus Energy Blog. Total expenses to balance the grid by shutting down wind and turning on gas have surpassed £1 billion, with The Times noting these costs continue to climb due to transmission bottlenecks.
The U.K. needs additional power lines to transmit excess power but the greenies say the cabling has to be underground. Did no one think to invest in some form of storage before allowing the turbines to be built, I would stop any more being built until the energy companies all foreign owned I believe until they come up with a solution

When your country is going down the shitter
You look to your football team for an uplift.

What a bad double.

Can i join you for Sunday prayers this morning, kev?.

The wind turbines should have followed the grid modernisation, they’ve done it backside first.
Be nice if they had a home built wind turbine industry instead of relying on imports

its fine to say that our selection process means we are looking for a person who is female or from a minority background by sexuality, colour or country of birth, but if they said they wanted a white englishman all hell would break loose. going by a discussion i had with a few strangers yesterday who actually were all white females the feeling was that actually working puts you well down the ladder for anything in benefits britain.

Newsletter from Reform through the post.
Very good for English workers n oaps who want a better life.

Handy Andy just goes around selling himself as one of the lads down the pub…..and some mugs will fall for it.

Yep, Andy's government is taking in record amounts in taxes and throwing it away on immigrants and benefits and trying to con the masses that they're a benevolent and fair lot with £2 bus fare caps and removing VAT from Lecky (but not other essential fuels such as gas, diesel, petrol).

And come April he will start taxing benefits but only the benefit of the state pension (which classification is disgraceful as the beneficiaries have mostly worked and contributed all their lives, whereas illegal invaders are receiving more than the state pension and they haven't lifted a finger for the country.) And politicians wonder why there are murmurings of unrest and backlash. You couldn't make it up.

He's now on about removing the Standing Charge on Gas but not Leccy.
But the biggest game changer will be changing c tax to land levy tax halfi g what Hartlepudlians pay.
I reckon there's a 99.9% chance that won't happen.

He will no doubt depend on the votes of the lazy bastads and non-english.

Supposed to be something going on across France today where 700000 police will be on the streets.

Would of been cheaper to give the students a better education.

Preitty much the whole of Europe fucked by immigration.

Marvelous

From 2030 under Reform there will be no tax on the SP.
And a bit more net pay for workers.
Oh and the Navy blocking the French invasion.

Oaps n Workers surely unite in a Reform against this current shit been going on for 16 years.

2030.
A better country and Pools back in the EFL.

Are you sure about that? I've seen hundreds of posts on here stating the benefits of being in the EU..

And then there's Angela Rayner who said her Government Emergency kit would include wine and mascara in it..Well,nobody believed you were joking about it Ange..

Burnham's support for Man City seems to be a bit suspicious considering he's Evertonian, anything to see here, dig deeper?

The State Pension is classed as taxable income, I already pay tax on my State Pension Derwent and more on my Private Pension, come April because of the Triple Lock it will mean more pensions will exceed the Income tax threshold. Some thing needs to done about it like raising the tax threshold for pensioners.

Angela Rayner's emergency kit is in fact her date kit, mascara because She needs all the help She can get, wine because si does her date.

Yes I know it is taxable income, I've paid the tax myself for years but they also call it a benefit and benefits aren't taxable which is why I called the classification disgraceful. We shouldn't be paying tax on it is what I'm saying. Tax on other income such as private pensions is fine as long as it is above the threshold.
I agree something should be done and I'm suggesting that "something" should be making it free from taxation.

The tax thresholds will probably not be raised but frozen for more years I reckon in the budget.
Whether a tax threshold for pensioners will be introduced remains to be seen!

Some benefits are taxable Derwent, tbh the majority are not though.

I think even Jamie would pretend he’s out when Waldorf and Stadtler came a knocking.

Thanks for that Jamie.

How many more car crash interviews will she give this year ? .."I haven't got a clue what i'm talking about but eer goes..."

.

Will there be a surprise on Wednesday.
Raise the tax threshold to 13100 to keep the SP tax free.

Can't see it ever being means tested.
And why should it.
If you've earned and sacrificed a long journey to a decent retirement before you die.
You shudent be penalised for it.

and never forget the millions who have died over the years who payed onto a state pension and got jack shit out of it. surely the government cannot get things all there way.

Burnham and co have already peaked. The size of the deficit and therefore interest payments means that he cannot borrow more without affecting the gilt yield (interest percentage). He has very limited scope for tax rises so that only leaves cuts to public services and welfare.

His promises for the likes of defence will be pointless as they will be heavily backloaded - 3% by 2030 Healy will say. In reality that’s nothing in 27/28/29 and a hope that things will be a lot better by then and there’s a general election in the mix which allows him to really muddy the waters in a new parliament should the country be stupid enough to vote Labour again.

Ultimately he’s only got Welfare to go at and that affects badly his feckless core vote. He’s got tough choices and none of them are vote winners.

You are in agreement with the very off receiving The State Pension, for me it should be means tested but no idea where to draw the line. Is it right royalty and the very well off receive the State Pension.
It’s galling to think some have never or very rarely worked but ‘used their head’ and kept up with National Insurance Credits. Not only will they receive the full state pension but can receive Pension Credits, Council Tax rebates etc, the list is endless with out ever contributing a penny.
