Quoted yesterday as saying there were people within the club who were doing all they could to block any chance of success.
Sacked today along with his assistant, Ben Clark in charge again. Basket case of a club.
The majority shareholder walked away last week and Paylor has full control now (I think Paylor was linked with buying us at one point)?

Oh and they haven't paid the players and staff for September.
Think they'll be tits up by Xmas.

Shame really, as big of a joke it is when we go to their ground and outnumber the home fans, they’ve generally been a club that plays good football and punch above their weight. Victim of being trapped in between the two biggest fan bases in the North East, poor ownership, and just being plain unlucky with the stadium incident a couple of years ago which prevented them from participating in the playoffs.

With that being said, if they do go under I wouldn’t mind trying to pick up the hometown lad Harry Chapman

Bloody well hope we've turned the corner before we play them at their joke of a ground on 21st November. The Heed getting the bragging rights out of that one doesn't bear thinking about.

You can always rely on Pools to end a teams bad run.
Plenty of history for that.

Apparently it’s genetic, we can’t help it.

there are north east clubs with less history who get much bigger gates than they do. they just have not got that local fanbase factor clubs like shields have. pack up and re allocate to NW London and play on a glorified parks pitch with the same number of fans they get now something good will happen to change there fortunes.

Whilst it’s irrelevant now but would Pools have sacked Clark or should I say Bromby, personally I don’t think so.

I wouldn't have sacked Clark or Cattermole for that matter. The simple reason being is I wouldn't have signed them in the first place, so the need to sack them wouldn't have arisen.

Also, thanks to the location they have a massive choice of players to choose from for their two coat goal post ‘stadiums’ run by some local benefactor with bus stop queue crowds.

TBH I enjoyed my trips up to South Shields and Hebburn Town for friendlies with Pools. If either of them make it into the NL they'll pull in more fans than the Heed have managed in recent seasons and be a better away day for Poolies

As places, Jarrow and Shields are not much different from Hartlepool.
