Honestly just get this guy out now and save the season. Completely clueless, and talks utter rubbish.

“Strikers need to be more clinical” - they get maybe 1 or 2 actual chances per game. Even Haaland wouldn’t score goals in this team the strikers are completely frozen out of the game because our midfield can’t do anything but punt it and smash into people.

“40 years in football” - fair mate, I’m sitting here from my mother’s basement as I type this, but I don’t count spells in Oman and Sudan as football because let’s face it, it’s Sunday league. And being a player is different to being a manager, and you’ve not had one lick of success anywhere.

“We reiterate what gave us a fantastic pre-season and 6 points from 6.” - what, you told Nolan he needs to bang one in from 25 yards? We only won the initial game at least because our strikers instinctively came up with a bit of magic.

“People weren’t talking about signings at the beginning of the season”. - well maybe you need to wash your lugs out pal. Anyone with a brain could tell you a midfield of Sheron, Hunter and Miley wouldn’t work. There’s not one ounce of attacking quality in any of them, and making Hunter our captain should’ve been a sackable offence.

Overreaction? Maybe. But the truth is we’re going nowhere with this guy and his tactics. No insight into what’s actually going wrong and why, just “we need strikers to score more” “we need to be more aggressive” “we need to score more from set pieces”. Sorry, but that doesn’t work in modern football Lee unless you’ve got Wrexham’s budget.

Is it only me who thought he spoke calmly and sensibly in that interview, sounds like he may be prepared to give Thornton another shout and if we get McKeown, Charman, Eccleston, Hampson and John back fit we may see a change in fortunes, we didn't deserve to lose against Eastleigh and if Gibson hadn't messed up in defence we may have got a point too the other night. It's a little concerning that we don't look like a side who'll score many goals at the moment but things can change quickly in football as we all know.

Anutha fair assessment (but will no doubt get a superfan saying it's to early to be concerned n pissed off)

Ye 2 bits off individual brilliance for the Barrow win not set up from midfield and a missed penalty got us off to a cracking start.

Good fans hope n good manager talking has not produced anything for the last 3 games.

First n foremost we need to retain the ball longer to have a little chance to provide for our forwards.
Clarky goes on like we've signed 4 Harry Kanes.

Utilize them with decent service then.

Probably the worst ball retention ever seen the other night.

Budget done so anutha formation is the only solution.

He was talking about Thornton. No one had heard of him until last week, why are we relying on an 18 year old who’s played 1 game? We signed how many players? And not one of them was a first team midfielder. Shambles
