Yes.

As it won't of been a cheapish sale price.

Yes, and despite all the comings and goings Pools problems have still stayed the same: pissed off fans, optimism dashed, misery all round. Exactly like when he was the owner.

All Raj promised was that he would keep us ticking over until a buyer was found. He kept that promise. If he got a bagful of cash in the end then good luck to him.
The big question we should be asking is what sort of treatment would Raj be getting if he was overseeing this current situation.
One thing for sure is that Mr Clark's position would be getting a bit more tenuous.

Don't know (or care) about Raj, but Nicky Featherstone would have a thing or two to say if anybody asked him. He was at the game last night.

Totally irrelevant question!
He's gone.

As for Smithy he's learning the hard way.
Maybe rushed into his investment on the back of the fairytale story at Wrexham.

Time will tell.

The only up thing that's happened since he arrived is about a 1000 on the crowds and now £4.95 for a shit pint in the ground.

Was a window of opportunity from February to bring in 3 decent players to hit the play-offs last season.
Didn't happen.

This seasons budget apparently done.

Maybe he's not the saviour we thought he was.

But we give it a bit more time.

I reckon we need to enter the 1st Round of the FA Cup this season to generate income for a play off push.

We won't win the league now

I didn't ask it.
If you don't like the question just ignore it.

In one of his books Cloughie dedicated a page/chapter to what owners/directors know about football. It was all left blank.
That brings in the old saying "he who pays the piper, calls the tune."

I responded to the question.
Dunno were you got I didn't like it from.

Anyhow.
I've had a WhatsApp text of a social media post from Smithy.
That he will be calling a meeting on fitness levels and further recruitment to get us back into the EFL.

He also states this is not a response to social media.

The hysteria of football fans never ceases to amaze. 'Maybe he's not the saviour we thought he was'. What sort of saviour did people expect. We wanted someone that wasn't going to treat the fans like mugs, hold ficticious votes, and not threaten to put the club into the abyss if there was any criticism. Apparently he'a made 2 million quid available for the season, there's talks of redeveloping the ground and surrounding area to bring more income into the club, reopened the academy, will overhaul the stuff behind the scenes, the list goes on. This isnt a 1 season job. The only thing the club* has got wrong that we can judge so far is 1. The manager, but we all knew that before the season kicked off and 2. Entering that poxy national league trophy with an academy team that's been together a month and 3. Not signing two good midfielders. A decent manager will still get that team playing. I saw absolutely no sign of any management last night and that's where the downfall is. Maynard is available, it's not time to panic, and no season is won or lost in September, but opportunities like this don't come along often and sometimes a bit of ruthlessness is needed. Anything but a win against Woking and it's curtains. An experienced manager at this level will turn this around, there's plenty of quality in that team.

Well said, a good manager and a midfielder on loan sharpish and we’ll get in the playoffs with not much problem imo.

Not irrelevant. The point I am making is that it is massively ironic that despite the fanfare, fireworks, players signed promises of ground improvement we still lose more than we win. On the pitch, nowt has changed since Raj.

I think this is easily solved by purchasing two competent midfield players …Amen.
