Wife just told me outside in the garden.
Someone of my acquaintance told me years ago when playing for Pools in the early 70’s, that he played against him when Keegan was playing for Scunthorpe.
He said he was good but a dirty little bugger….he’ll get nowhere playing like that….

…..so much for that forecast.

RIP A true one off both as a player and a manager. His attitude was always to out score the opposition. Loved by supporters at all his clubs.

I always admired his honesty both on and off the pitch. We all remember his outburst in the tunnel about Ferguson but I also remember his frankness about his own failings when he resigned the England job. Not many people would have been so honest, he really was an open book and wore his heart on his sleeve. RIP Kevin

Great little man-big man combination with John Toshack for Liverpool.

Had the Geordies playing great attacking football as a manager. That run of high scoring Newcastle-Liverpool games was like England v France the other night. RIP.

Just watched a nice tribute to him on the news and who should be sat next to him on the Newcastle bench but a young Lee Clark. I’m sure he has a lot of good memories of his former boss…

In world full of its always someone else’s fault Keegans honesty and integrity was unmatched.
