After being utterly pissed off last night and saying it was never a penalty all day today - this angle doesn't look great.

Looks like he trips (or is tripped) but he does take the York player out.

Still the ref was dying to give a penalty.

Was it Dave York, of Bootham Crescent flats, York who has a Yorkshire Terrier and worked in. Yorkshire Pudding factory in charge…?

true, and even feathers said he was looking to give something all night. he more or less was falling and put his arms out and caught their player. the ball was not exactly dropping where the player was so that was not an issue. i,d have been embarrased if w,d have won a game on a decision like that.

If Max had looked at the ball he would have seen the player was no danger.

I saw some footage from behind the goal. First viewing it looks a blatant penalty, watched it a few times and max gets tripped by a york player running behind him. He got chicken legged and fell on the york player. It was a free kick to us all day long.

It's lazy defending, if the guy you're marking gets away from you your only option is to try and jump in front of them so they can't see the cross.

For their second goal it was a free header, there wasn’t a Pools defender near him.

Biggest criticism from me was the amount of crosses coming into our box with virtually no attempt to block them.

worse is when we put crosses into the box in open play there is rarely more than one player in a pools shirt there to receive the ball.

But, But we are solid at the back according to NF, Maybe should work on stopping crosses coming in.

That was much worse than usual on Wednesday night. I think the only cross that got blocked all second half was the one that led THAT corner at the end (typical). If you look at the team though it was square pegs in round holes again instead of players being in their natural positions.

I watched the highlights yesterday morning then watched the highlights of Liverpool v Sunderland . In that match there was a similar penalty shout like ours . Almost identical . The ref said no and var backed him up . So we where robbed

With the amount of quality crosses York put into the six yard box you can see why they score goals for fun.
There forwards had an off night but still got 3 goals.

Now why don't we try that system that works.
Quality crosses coming in from the bye line instead of the cut inside shit from getting past the halfway line.

you need the right players in the side for any system to work, like this one up front lark where we never had a decent looking player to do that. mind you will we see a change or just rotate reid and caton and not play both together to see if it works.
