Not sure the underdogs 'often' sneak through. Pools obviously were, but struggling to think of others.

I'd take it in a heartbeat. Apart from the fact that it woul be a massive change to finish in the top 7 - Pools have only done it once in 6 attempts - it would be something to build on for the following season. Assuming we had a chairman who wasn't an absolute cock..

Anyway apart from three teams including Pools all the other play off winners were not underdogs. Not trying to be argumentative but just pointing out that going up via play offs is hellishly tough and l would suggest far beyond the current pools squad.l

None of the clubs that finished 1 place below automatic promotion in the Championship, div 1, div 2, on NL won the play offs last season. Anything can happen once it's down to 1 off games, however we need a big improvement to gat anywhere near the play offs.
Although it was an entertaining watch, it was 2 poor sides overall.
McNally is a huge miss for us, and we need a tricky pact winger imo - can't understand why Speedy was brought in if he's not going to get game time.

I thought Campbell had a better game than he has been doing. Maybe a few matches and he might belatedly be the player we thought we'd recruited. You never know.

got back home for the second half. best 50 odd minutes of football i have seen all season. fair result to be honest. we got a fluke and they got a late equaliser by an ex player. there cannot have been a single club in the top 5 leagues who stated the game without a single proper centre back in there side and that was why we dropped two points there. we need and have needed a loan player in since mcnally got injured and yeterday and last week shoed why. feel sorry for the new keeper having to play in a side like this.

did not see him for long, but if his first half was the same i,ll have to agree. must have been his best game in a pools shirt. funny how he is back in contention now all of a sudden.
