Why hasn't any Government had the balls over the last 20 years to ban the sale of these to the public?? They are fucking annoying, dangerous and scary to countless animals and people!!! Fucking hate this time of year...Jess shaking like a shitting Greyhound!!!

We’ve booked a lodge for a week in Bedale in the middle of nowhere over bonfire night because ratboy goes berserk when the ‘explosive’ ones goes off.
Are fireworks far more powerful now than they used to be ….?
Only allow official displsys and ban the sale, they serve no purpose now since they’ve been weaponised.

In Bedale they have a massive firework display in the park over that weekend. People travel in from the area and it’s big and loud and the sound carries. It’s chaotic too, people and cars everywhere. I wonder where your cottage is?

they are certainly noisier than they once where and a bloody site more expensive. no 1d bangers. remember that they were not on the shelves as long as now and were actually all put away by team time on bonfire night. they seem an all tound the year occurance and setting em off on a warm bright summer night seems pointless. mind you there is worse to come before 5th november. hallow bastard een.

Aye, it’s my birthday ….we used to go out for a meal…impossible now as the pubs are covered in plastic cobwebs and kids running about 3 hours after bedtime.

you have my deepest sympathies. its not just pubs its everywhere you go with the plastic tat on view with parents pushed into it by kids brought up on the day which is now second to christmas for them. yet another inport from the good old usa and like everything from the land of the free is totally crap and false to make money out of people.

I thought with the promotion of Halloween bonfire night would all but be forgotten about but that aint been the case. Its effectively a celebration of a terrorist act.
The government has a role here to play down the event and tax the hell out of fireworks. Its effect on wildlife is totally unacceptable.

not just wildlife but its many who have problems with there pets. in my lifetime my dogs have been a mixture of watching fireworks to having one put in a large shut wardrobe with the lights out being soothed by our voices.ok you can get stuff from the vets but not continuously from now till new years eve. thats another thing we have to suffer since the millenium fire works on new years eve that was never the case everywhere in the country.

I agree fireworks should be banned so the public cannot buy them.
By all means go to a public display on Nov 5th where everything is organised.
And yes I am sick of fireworks going off during the year, birthdays, garden parties, new year, celebrations, even Xmas eve, it has become a year round thing now!
And the amount of barking from all the dogs that live around here when fireworks are lit, poor things, scared out of their minds!

Only good thing is the trick or treat shower, so we leave the dogs in the hallway, they have evil barks and the beggars don’t knock twice.
