The important part of that statement is his commitment to keep funding the club until a sale is made. I hope he can stick to that.

The legal wrangling will just serve to line the solicitor's pockets.
He's determined to keep us in the loop on this one.
He is also trying to boost the gate for tomorrow as you would expect.
How will the fans respond??? We'll have to wait and see but if there is a drop in support that almost certainly will be considered if any further additions to the playing squad are requested by the manager. If the support is healthy then our chances of further funding are increased.
When these new owner compliance rules come into play a club that can say we fulfil our playing obligations, we pay our staff and playing squad on time, we pay our bills etc will get some bid ticks in my opinion.
It won't be judged on promotions. Since 1908 we've had four is it??? And it took sixty years to achieve the first one which lasted a season.
The Authorities will put massive credence to stability is my prediction.

Good question. Needs clearing up. I've often wondered who chairs the Board meetings.

Another week another statement, the fact he calls Ronnie Stelling out by name is interesting too

Wonder how many season tickets were shifted I haven’t seen it mentioned as much this year as previously…also wonder how our first home game attendance matches up to the last 2 years, that’s another sign of overall progress being made by the club

no matter what the gate is tomorrow it should have nothing to do with the club ownership. the statement is correct by saying we should get behind the manager and the team tomorrow. i,ll guess now those who cannot or do not want to go will say its because of the owner whether thats true or false but do not follow them and do our own thing.

Both a yes and a no vote had him stepping back in as chairman. The only difference was a yes vote was for him to fund to the same level as last season, a no vote was the club be self sustaining.

Mentioning Robbie by name appears to have giving the game away really - comes across as getting one over on the Stelling family. If that wasn't the intention, mentioning an individual reporter is out of order anyway, in my view.

The reaction from fans to the statement has been overwhelming condemnation. The club could do worst than learning from that (spoiler - they won't.)

Away games only for me. Fair play to anyone attending, no issue with that, I personally just can't be supporting Raj. This absolutely has to be his last season and hopefully it won't even be that.

Everybody chooses as he/she sees fit and I respect that fully and I will make sure people aren't abused for their choice.
I just hope that Raj doesn't take the same stance by stating if the fans won't support the club then what's the point of me doing it and the plug gets pulled. That's something that everyone needs to be aware of but those who are prepared to take the risk of that happening are free to do so. Just as anybody not willing to take the risk are free to follow that path.
Everyone has got to be absolutely clear on this.

Sell the club to the person who clearly has the drive to take it on, and who (based on the club's own statements) proceeded to Due Diligence, surely meaning the sale price wasn't an issue?

That's not even a plan B, it's plan A! I don't know if there are loses to cut but if there are, cut them Raj. He owns a club he doesn't even go to - what's the point? He should go and concentrate on making millions more with his care homes. He'll have saved the club and passed it on, history will remember him more kindly then. Win win.

I think that is the most likely scenario--some sort of circular doom loop----I will be amazed if crowds aren't materially worse this season than the last 2, plus the parachute payment money gone so we likely have a lower budget (basic economics not criticism of anyone)
That in turn leads to more than likely a worse season which means more frustration and lower crowds etc which further weakens us.

One way to help mitigate that, is to have a 'we are all in it together approach' where the fans dont expect miracles ala York level investment but there is transparency and goodwill from both sides as they do their best (and we are a big club for this level so our best should be us at the top end of the table)
I will let each person draw their own conclusions on whether recent actions by the chairman/board are more likely to have a positive or negative effect on overall harmony.

I would also say whatever people think the club is worth---its worth less the longer we spend in this division or lower IMO

Logically, it doesn't make any sense that they never had the money, given that we know the process was well advanced. It wouldn't have even started if there was no money, surely? Subsequent statements from the club just didn't seem to add up - maybe they're just badly written.

Look, you might be right but we've not heard the bidder's take, which would be interesting to say the least.

Additionally though, when the previous consortium attempt came to an abrupt end, didn't HUST say they met the financial conditions set by Raj but he essentially just changed his mind? Did this happen again?

Don't think there was ever any mention of the number of season tickets sold last season either.

I'd be surprised if tomorrow's gate isn't around the 3,500 mark. There's most a new team to get a first gander at in a home league game. Beyond that, gates will go up if it turns out Grayson is a winner (as a lot of neutrals seem to expect), down if results are poor. 'Twas ever thus.

I can understand Raj being unhappy with some of the speculation that's going on, and wanting to put the record straight. And if he didn't have a case I very much doubt he'd have had his lawyers on the case or that the Mail would have published his response or apologised.
But what should be appreciated by Raj and the club is that if they'd given out any info on the whole ownership / takeover then the speculation wouldn't have happened. They could easily have released statements at a high level without breaching any NDAs.
The bottom line is that these tit for tat statements are doing neither his reputation but more importantly our clubs reputation any good whatsoever.

Gentlemen, I've done some editing which is purely precautionary.
Please refrain from printing anything which could be interpreted as stating a potential slur on the owner or commenting on what you think happened to stall or end the takeover, without proof. Raj has stated what happened. You don't have to believe it but don't make up or suggest alternatives.

With all due respect, Raj has stated his interpretation on the events that have or have not taken place (only he knows), Of course all is open to interpretation as the club seem intent on releasing as little information as possible to their fan base. And i believe more than 63% of the fan base are in support of Robbie Stelling.

Anything above can of course be edited by a moderator, And i fully support that.

The thing is that Stelling had his say and the lawyers got involved and a right of reply was given with an apology.
Raj has had his say but to date nobody has come forward with facts to refute 1 word of his version.
None of us know, nor will ever likely know what has or is going on behind the scenes, or the finances of the club.

And that is why it is important to keep quiet unless you have something to say which is irrefutable. What is the point of giving anybody the opportunity to potentially close the bunker down or prosecute a member or members.
Anybody who has the notion to gamble against possible litigation please go and do it elsewhere.
