The opposition going forward look far more impressive than we do with our dreary repetetive siege tactics that fade in the opponents box…and when it does get in the oppositions box we short circuit.
They look like scoring we don’t.

why change old habits. we have not looked like scoring since manny D dried up after christmas 2024. it might have happened but i cannot remember us coming back from a goal down to win after that date.

Our marking of opponents is crazy…running half the length of th3 pitch keeping the opposition company but avoiding physical contact is a day pass into our box every time….these aren’t tactics, they’re ballet routines.

Pools started well against Alty and with better finishing could have been 2 up after 15 minutes. They've started well in the last two home games as well.

Around the 20 minute mark the opposition begins to grow into the game, then they put our defence under sustained pressure that we don't seem to be able to break out of - apart from long kicks from the keeper and 'Hollywood passes' from Jamie Miley.

A midfielder who could make surging runs upfield with the ball at his feet would make a big difference - but we've all been saying that for weeks...

I was hoping the West Brom lad would provide the surging runs. Is he not that type of player? I write as someone who hasnt seen him play so would be pleased to hear what type of midfielder he actually is from those who have seen him live or on DAZN. I gather he is the attacking sort but does that necessarily mean surging runs?

That’s the problem, no one really stands out.

He did alright early on in a 2 with Nolan behind Harris. He can pick a pass but he's not particularly mobile. If Clark goes back to a 2 up front because we're at home he'll probably be back on the bench.

Games start promisingly but quickly descend into taking turns attacking each others goals …unfortunately our opponents look far keener and determined than us and it shows.
Teams seem to be expecting a bit more from us but realise we’re over hyped and less than average on the pitch…the penny drops and our opponents take full advantage.
Simple as that.

We shouldn't be signing young kids on loan we should be looking to sign experienced midfielders who know this league. There were loads available in the summer and recently, the likes of Gregg Olley who is doing brilliantly at Fylde. Why did we not go for players like that? so frustrating, we all know where the problems lie except the totally useless management apparently.

They do seem to be going about things in a truly cack handed manner……that defies logic.

thats easy to alter. just sign the fuckers to play for pools and watch them fail like the rest do.

We would probably find a way to stop Erling Haaland scoring goals if he signed for Pools
