It appears we forgot to rejigg the midfield, how dumb is that, then confounded it by hanging onto old guard… oh dear.

Thornton, ex Boro youngster signed almost under the radar. Might be worth a start next game. We could do with some youthful enthusiasm. Anything to lift the gloom.

Looks like Landon Smith has been looking at the comments on social media, his statement on X,
‘ Last night wasn’t good enough. 650 of you travelled and deserved better.
I’ll be meeting with the club’s advisors to review fitness, performance and the next steps.
Any investment will be to get this club back in the Football League, not a reaction to social media’

I mentioned that yesterday but later in the day a few fans on SM were questioning it could of been a fake account.

But someone also reported that Clarky said the budget has been used.

Major drop off in crowds if the club thinks hope is Gunna rescue us.

UTP.

Not fake, he has posted a few more comments on X @LandonSmithTX.just posted this,
‘ Not fake, not Jeff Stelling. Just Landon Smith — owner of Hartlepool United.
Club’s already put my letters out. This is me talking straight with supporters.
Appreciate the passion. Let’s get Saturday right. Pack the Park. UTP’

its our 6th game on saturday with the league starting to take shape. we are already in a catch up situation just to make the top 7. its not just the one game against halifax thats been the problem. it started in the first game and we got away with it in that and the next. are pools the only team that are a copy of the one that played last season and have learned to sum of fuck all.

We need a player to come in and galvanise the team. Vindheim did it in 1999. Liddle and Monkhouse in 2005 and the defender Mirfin from Scunthorpe did it in great escape season. Looks like nobody out of the current lot is capable.

Why do we have to search social media to find communications from the club. We have an official club website and are supposed to have employed a media man.
It is not just a few fans expressing concern as to what is going on.
Get the official site up and running properly, do some interviews, especially with the manager and players and actually begin to show that we, the fans, really are an important part of the club, because I certainly am not feeling a part of it. Last year we had a bit of effort in this regard, not a lot but a lot more than we're getting at the moment.
Used properly, the OS could be a brilliant communicating tool.
Our last match wasn't at Boston, I know I was there, and I've watched five since.

less the club tells us more the fans will make it up anyway with the rumour mill getting bigger and bigger. do not know if the official site pays pools or what and do we get anything from the views on it. if we do it will only be the history buffs who are interested.

Who is actually running the club on a day to day basis and making decisions, Clark and staff for the footballing side of things, we have a media man but who is making the other decisions around the club maybe a general manager or a Chief Executive is whats required. Are Bromby involved in the day to day running of the club or just advising on recruitment ? If I was Smith I would want a daily report on the activities of whats going on at the club. There are different ‘departments’ At Pools but who is pulling them all together ?

Th OS is a thing of wonder - as in, wonder what's going on?

Rose Stoker sees to it that every bit of news about the club's commercial activities gets posted, and has done all summer.

The football side though :doh Comical that stuff on the Academy and Women's teams is more up to date than the Men's team. Click on 'First Team' and it's still saying Page Not Found - getting on for 4 weeks into the new season.

Embarrassing really - there's teams in the Northern Premier League doing a far better job with their OS than we do - Redcar Athletic for one: https://redcarathletic.co.uk/players/

I think we're waiting for a new OS to be released. It shouldn't mean the old one is obsolete though until it's replaced.
