Pools have appointed Sporting Group International to attract new sponsors for the first team.

I wish they could attract some new players for the first team, or am I just being impatient.

One very good thing the shirts will no longer have the dreaded word Prestige on the front of them unless of course they want to pay for the privilege. Also lets have the name revert to Victoria ground sponsored by xxxx. You have to admire the fact that Landon is getting professional companies in to do the job and long may it last. Please though top it all off by naming some new signings as the supporters are getting restless.

Totally agree, outward signs are that everything is being done professionally, for probably the first time since IOR. As regards signing players, I'd love to see a few signings but it doesn't really bother me that there's no news. I'm pretty confident behind the scenes deals are being done, recruitment is getting sorted. I don't think for one minute people are sat on their hands or tossing it off.

In effect what SGI will be selling is Landon Smith's prospectus for the club going forward. The basic facts of what HUFC is haven't changed: long-established Football League club currently playing in the National League, with a relatively small ground and a restricted catchment area.

What's new and potentially exciting to potential sponsors ("for the club’s first team kit, naming rights and digital channels") are the new owner's plans for the club and the team he is putting together to realise those plans.

We have spent several years ‘swinging at anchor,,,going nowhere, just existing.
Things appear to be actually getting organised and moving forward at last in a professional manner.
Player signings ar important, but the behind the scenes activities are equally important.

talking about signing better players i just wonder if this lack of what looks to us like no activity could be a case of better the player longer it might take to sign them as they,ll have more offers. cannot see that much interest in some of last seasons signings before we got them. it might seem a waste of money getting an outside firm to sell the club to sponsors but surely it might be cheaper than employing someone who we find out later cannot do the job.

But the longer it takes the lower the quality of players become available.

Players recruitment should be priority because if you get that correct then the commercial success comes with it.

Big Problem after the last Promotion n Cup Runs was to keep running the club as if it was still in non league.
