Notts County have completed the signings of James Gibbons and Callum Roberts on two-year deals after securing a return to League One.

I never thought we would be in with a chance of signing him. When the names of what many of us would agree are decent players crop up, they ALWAYS go elsewhere.

Would be nice to just see some signings coming through the door. Lots of clubs in our league strengthening their squads and we just seem to be doing what we do every season, wait to sweep up the dregs.

Ya should know by now Players (the high Majority) only sign for Pools when nobody else wants them then sell us the story it was always Pools I wanted to sign for. Was just a few minor details that held the deal going through earlier.


Just remember players take there mobile phones on Holiday.

Underwhelming squad building so far.
Dissapointing Ownership so far but a fair few Poolies reckon there's no dosh there tp improvement.

Id say we slightly behind we're we need to be for a top 7 finish.

its not even june yet and some are feeling the season is over. its obvious any player will pick an efl div.1 club over non league pools anyday of the week. nobody knows what the playing budget will be, but i,m sure i heard that deadly word sustainability coming from LS. another word that means living well within our means with the money the club brings in.

Glass half full / empty scenario really.
Some saying plenty of time others think we're behind the curve (and there's plenty of transfers at our level already happened).
Think we're all mainly full of optimism though, just eager to see signs that we have a chance of fulfilling it.

do not know who have signed what but wonder if the clubs who have done early business are the ones who kept there manager from last season. surely that must be a help.
