Got a feeling the consultants might be looking for a younger man ( & probably a bloody sight cheaper ) !
Wouldn't have any major objection to Mowbray if he was affordable.

Reckon if he can't turn the club around then no one can.

He's been well payed for donkeys years so this would take him to retirement and on his doorstep.

Would be unreal, if we appointed Mowbray- exactly the man we need- no nonsense, widely respected in the game and we're just on his doorstep. Would also pick up a chunk of disillusioned borer fans too, which would boost home attendances. It's a no brainer- for me.

That said, if not Mowbray, I'd go for Darrell 'Trigger' Clarke or Phil Parkinson (formerly of the Altrincham parish)

I don't believe that Mogga is the answer. He is obviously no spring chicken and has suffered from bouts of poor health over recent years. I would much prefer to see a younger, tough, battle-hardened NL manager with previous of extracting club (s) from this godforsaken league. I appreciate that we have occasionally employed this type in the past and they have failed miserably, primarily due to a lack of serious funding, having to import players from Scottish lower leagues for example. However, that is (hopefully) not going to be the case this time with LS taking his consultants advice and backing the new manager to the hilt.

Seems the D Clarke snowball is gathering momentum

Just read Darrell Clarke's Wikipedia managerial history which reveals that he would appear to tick most of the boxes. He's had his ups and downs which will be the case with the majority of potential managers. His previous Pools connections may be beneficial - or quite the reverse - but he could be worth a stab if LS and his consultants can sell him their ambitions for the club.

prefer a younger man with non league experiance as a player and manager. mowbray fine as say director of football to replace olde lenny.
