Not going argue about that list apart from releasing Hunter as well.

i,d go with that also including hunter who would be a good squad player due to being versetile. surely it cannot be that hard to recruit better than the ones we let go.

Keep the defence, Miley and Reid.

The 'Keeps' all need to be good enough to feature regularly in a promotion-winning campaign.

Dave Challinor's squad were that good in spades. 5 seasons on, five of them are with League 1 sides - Molyneux and Sterry (Doncaster), Oates (Mansfield), Ryan Johnson (AFC Wimbledon), Killip (Portsmouth).
Armstrong, Cass, and Holohan have all spent most of the last 5 seasons in League 2 or above (though Gav H is now past it).

Seriously, if that's the standard, who meets it out of the current squad?
I'd say Kouogun and McNally - though it's a worry that McNally has missed more than half the season with injuries.
I'd keep Benn, Miley and Reid as well, though mostly as squad players because they're too easily bullied by stronger, faster players (and every team in the NL has a few of those). One of Sheron or Hunter too (but not both).

Other than that - no thanks. The squad needs a massive rebuild over the summer. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear!

Similar to Mcnally Parkes has missed a lot of games and because of not being up to playing two games a week. It ts also a bit worrying how many concussion injuries he has had I think he should go and not hang around like Waterfall did last year.

If as we all want, Pools to play attacking football higher up the field, the defence needs legs to defend against the inevitable counter attacks. Does the current 'back to the wall' defence have the required attributes to change. Fevs doesn't think so!

Macnally, Kougoun, Benn but that would be about it, as regards Miley, how often does he actually pass the ball forward? The mid field is a huge problem area, we have no attacking midfielders who can support the strikers and provide goals and assists. How many assists or goals has our entire midfield actually contributed? very few I think. All our attacks seem to be based around Sinclair getting to the by line and providing crosses but there's usually only Reid in the box surrounded by four or five defenders. A total rethink is needed attacking wise, then maybe we might actually score a few goals. We had one effort on target yesterday which is shocking. Wood's passing and quick movement made us look like amateurs. Gonna take a huge investment by our new owner to make a difference.

I think the initial list on this post is spot on with the exception of Sheron and the keeper. Sheron was mediocre last season, he's been poor this season and I've got no reason to believe he'll improve next season.

I'd get rid of both keepers. The two young lads we had on loan earlier this season are the standard we need to be aiming for. And if Hayes has another season on his contract - loan him out to another NL side (then take loads of "try your luck" pot shots from 25 yards out when we play them).

As for Miley. I reckon there's a cracking player in the making there and I'm looking forward to seeing his progress once we (hopefully) stop setting up for 0-0 every game.

Our so called good players have yet again contributed to anutha disaster season. ( thats what below 7th is)

So bin the lot of them.
Pre season n friendlies is enough time for the new players to gel if they are what we get improvements.

Plus a proper manager.

Still a basic fix from me.
Let's remember it's only a top 7 finish in a tinpot division the majority of us would expect /like.

Kuogun, McNally, John have all shown they're good enough for a play off push, all solid defenders with pace and can carry the ball forward especially John.
Miley is a cracking player being subdued by a negative manager, he was the front player in Newcastle's U21s NF has him playing too deep imo. Definitely a keeper, although I'd be surprised if there aren't league clubs sniffing about in the summer, we could get a fee for him in the future if he does go.
I'd keep Sinclair if we could, along with John they work really well together and with a full pre-season I reckon he'll torture defences next season.
Reid is a decent finisher but is garbage with his back to goal, keep if we get shot of NF.
If the rest I'd keep Parkes, Benn, Hunter as squad players.

If the club under LS want to improve on what we have now then the logical first step is to improve on the way it is run and the personnel running it and playing for it.
The whole set up has to be geared to the club's ambitions and those ambitions need to be established.
I would expect Bromby et al will be pointing their recommendations in conjunction with those ambitions.
We can't leave any bruised or below standard apples in the barrel because we have to start with fresh ingredients so I go along with Mr I. Root and branch as the saying goes.
Always stressing that it is not within my remit to influence the path the club takes but it is within my remit to decide whether I follow that path or not.

If there is to be any demand in Season Ticket sales LS needs to make some announcements now or is he waiting for the consultants review ?

individually they are better than a lot of players we see mainly once a season at the vic. if they were that bad then how did they secure a place in the top half of the league. obviously some are not up to standard but a massive clearout is never the answer.
