Who would cancel all Boxing Day football and then expect those lovely, lovely, all-so-deserving Toon fans to get home on a Bank Holiday night? Yep, Southerners (other terms of abuse are available)

with european competitions, international breaks, ko times and dates being changed for tv companies no wonder fans are not happy. its hard to plan anything in advance now but clubs expect fans to do so with tickets for games.

The Brackley v Notts County game last night was better than that poncy show of Liverpool v Villa.

so true, but millions have been conned to think that football ends with the premier league. What annoys me more is armchair fans will not give games like that a chance or even pop down to watch there local clubs live. plenty who actually do stay and enjoy the different atmosphere of proper fans and clubs where you feel more than just a customer. kids especially feel shocked when players actually speak to them when they only previously had the premier league experiance. used to take my disabled step son to wolves where he met his hero steve bull who took me to one side asking for our address. gave it to him and a dew weeks later he recieved a christmas card without being asked. doubt you,ll get that from the so called plastic stars of today with there bloody earphones and farrari,s.

Fans are obviously upset at the loss of the Boxing Day tradition, but to be honest, tradition counts for nowt when it involves money for the coffers of the ‘big boys’.

if fans still want theur boxing day football fix they,ll be able to find it and more local for some who travel up and down the country just to watch premier league football as a home fan. eventually they,ll start smelling the coffee as financially they get sod all for there efforts.
