It transpires that Mr Andrew Windsor has only infrequently paid for energy and water in his 20+ years living in the Royal Lodge.

I wonder who emptied the bins! If it was the local council, did the occupant pay council tax and into which band would the Royal Lodge fall?

The current Labour government say that those with the broadest shoulders should contribute most but it doesn't seem to think that it applies to the richest family in the country!

The current Labour Government says the first thing that comes into their heads, mate. The only thing they don't take any notice of is the fact that everybody with half a brain or more says they are bringing the Country down with their total inability to get anything right and therefore should step aside and let somebody else have a crack at it. They should adopt the signs that say. NO CHANGE GIVEN HERE.

Here’s the scenario….we get rid of the Royals and elect a President…..so then we end up with political appointees as head of state.
So we’d now have President Starmer….
Every country with a President ends up being liked by half of the population and hated by the other half, that’s the problem with a political appointment.
Let sleeping dogs lay.

I am not advocating getting rid of Royalty, just making them pay the bills and taxes that the rest of us do.
Will the farm land death duty levy apply to the Duchy of Cornwall? I think not.

Questioned about what Snowy, I have questioned you many times in the past but you either choose to ignore the question or go off on a tangent, you would have made a great politician.

thats the complete weakness of the monarchy. its not just one king or queen and a single palace its the great number of these places plus the land they own that should be resigned to history. if you need to have a monarch over a president then lets vote for one which would be a choice between all the ex queens kids with a maximum of two properties to live in.

See our 'power' bills will now include £60 to cover the costs of those folk who can't/ won't pay their bills - because the power companies can't afford to dilute their £4bn of annual profits by writing off bad debts or introducing effective credit control. So Millibean has taken control then. And council tax is going to rise to cover the costs of inefficiencies and immigrants.

So, Mr Starmer, please feel free to send us any further bills you want. Starting with the £2.5m to remove mines left by the oh-so-poor Israeli military. And all the dosh that you and Lammy gave to Syria...

as long as you are not being different just for the sake of it in your comments. it seems hard to imagine anyone being so opposite to the majority on most issues and continue to post if you actually do feel as you do. doubt anybody who are from any side of politics agree with everything there party stands for and there actions. the reason most of us never get involved in the subject to be an activist or stand for election to be a rubber stamp for the party line.

Yes I have opposing views,so what, i find it difficult to understand what political parties some of the posters actually support, they are quick to criticise me and the current Labour Party who I don’t support contrary to what Snowy says.I do object to being called a left wing zealot by admin considering he was a member of the Labour Party who are supposed to be left wing. I am left of centre as far as politics are concerned, Farage and Reform are now under scrutiny after a few articles in The Times and The Telegraph, he needs to bleating on about immigration has caused all the economic problems in the U.K.

100% agree Mutley, Reforms arguments are based round immigration, it’s at fault for everything which has currently no effect on the U.K. economy whats so ever, remove all the immigrants tomorrow and watch a few of our services collapse more so in the healthcare industry.
I would ask Sussex, PTID and other posters to look at a YouTube vlog called Political Custard, link here for one.

Jamie you say Reform's arguments are based around immigration. Considering people are flocking to their side in their thousands, if not millions, surely it follows that immigration is very high, if not at the top of, people's concerns. So if you and others want to stop Reform or at least stop their surge in popularity then you should be having a go at Starmer et al to sort the immigration problem out. Once that is done then, going by your reckoning that they are a sort of one trick pony, their popularity will subside.

Coming from a working class family, I voted Labour for over 50 years but never again!
Labour fail to address matters such as immigration, national debt, benefits, banning N/sea oil and gas etc. Reform are saying what I want to hear regarding things which I regard as important so they will get my vote next time. OK they might not manage everything they promise but at least they will give it a good go.

NB this is what I think and I am happy to read what others think but do not waste time trying to educate me or drag me into a discussion.

Whar policies attract you to Reform ? Speaking at a news conference, he said his manifesto promises at the last general election to bring in sweeping tax cuts were "only ever aspirations", and "substantial tax cuts" are "not realistic". He mentioned that the minimum wage for young people was too much, it starts at £7.55 an hour, he wants to introduce an insurance based system for healthcare similar to The Stares, if you can’t afford the premiums you could possibly die.

immigration is used by reforms detractors. we have so many other problems that the main partys refuse or cannot sort out we once never had. they need to drop or roll back policies that are handing votes to reform like DIE, climate change and being really tough on immigration of all types. you could hear the groan of oh know once the westminster crowd found out the train stabbings were done by black guys and even had the gall at the outset via the MSM to say they were one british national out of the two. do they think we did not add two and two together and know it wasn,t anyone with a pale priveledged man.

Plenty of bad ass U.K. citizens not prepared to work as they are better off on benefits or only working part time and getting their money topped up by benefits,it’s been going on for years even before immigration problems.
You don't have a problem with 100's of thousands of undocumented illegals joining the ranks then..And the cost of keeping of keeping them all just goes straight over your head when it comes to the UK economy..Worked out any figures yet ?
If immigration stopped tomorrow the U.K. economy wouldn’t change much, their here now.

The Great British public are very aware of what is going on in this country thank you..Do you think Farage gives a hoot what you leftie fence sitters think? :) :) ..The man's on a roll to Downing street one day..Enjoy the ride!

Not a chance but like I said previously I hope they do get in because the Country will be on its knees within a few months. Very much like Brexit. Sussex voted for Leave and will vote for Reform!!  Mentalist.

I can’t disagree Derwent we need immigrants not ones crossing the channel ones to fill the jobs our own citizens won’t do because they are better off on benefits. Yes the voters are flocking to Reform but like the rest of the parties none them have come up with a legal possible physical way to stop them, asylum seekers are a problem through out Europe not just the U.K. and none them have come up with an answer. It’s difficult to close the U.K. borders as we are surrounded by water so can’t exactly build walls to stop them.

immigration is used by reforms detractors. we have so many other problems that the main partys refuse or cannot sort out we once never had. they need to drop or roll back policies that are handing votes to reform like DIE, climate change and being really tough on immigration of all types. you could hear the groan of oh know once the westminster crowd found out the train stabbings were done by black guys and even had the gall at the outset via the MSM to say they were one british national out of the two. do they think we did not add two and two together and know it wasn,t anyone with a pale priveledged man.

I agree Accy the Labour and Conservatives are handing votes to Reform currently.

if we need workers from abroad then just advertise for them in other countries like what happened in the past. surely being an island its easier to its easier to keep people out than having a long inland border. more or less its the south and east coasts where they,ll be coming and doubt many will arrive north of the wash anyway unless there are a new load of vikings coming. as for the benefits money we get i,d say ask a single person what they are getting. not very much.

We'll leave the ECHR for starters ..He will then turn his attention to making the UK a less attractive place for illegals, benefits scroungers and criminals on the run that are currently being pampered by the useless soft arses we have in power atm...Word will reach Calais,jamie..

Jamie you seem to lump all immigrants in the same category, as you say in an earlier post "remove all the immigrants tomorrow and watch all the services collapse", we don't want all the immigrants deported, the ones who are coming here "legally" and want to work are very welcome, it's the ones coming here illegally whether by boat, lorry or any other illegal means are not welcome as well as ones who have come legally but don't want to work but just take advantage of our benefits/services systems and good nature that are not welcome also.

In my opinion and from what I have seen, they are evil little bastards roaming the streets looking for trouble.
They are being let into the country on purpose and put up in hotels at our cost.
Deport all the illegal immigrants is certainly a slogan and a promise that would get my vote at the next general election.

I agree but Farage is now saying anyone on Indefinite to Remain will have to apply for a visa every so many years, just think how many older people or partners are on ILR, you really need to keep up the news. Farage is now being found out for the snake oil salesman he is.
I had a mate who died of cancer, he has 2 kids born and bred in the U.K. his wife is from Thailand works in the U.K., no burden on the state but Farage wants to take her right of ILR away

You're clueless about the 100's of thousands illegals on the street. You constantly swerve the question about how much they cost the economy...Plenty of immigrants get welcomed here if they're legal..they've been working for years in care and the likes via the visa system.Brexit didn't stop it ..

Brexit did stop it, those immigrants had to apply and pay for visas after Brexit, many returned home never to return similar in the hospitality industry.. so there are 1000s of illegals roaming the streets, I doubt it, you need start looking at vlogs on YouTube by journalists not attached to The Mail, Express, Sun etc where they can give individual opinions not tied to the owners of the media.

Yes and how many only open a few days not just in Hartlepool because they can’t get staff, as usual you waffle on with out putting your head in gear. The UK's hospitality industry is experiencing a severe staff shortage due to factors like the pandemic and Brexit-related immigration changes, which drove many workers to leave the sector.
I probably lived in the town a few more years than you Sussex, do you live in the town now

It is up to the government to get the lazy feckers, our lot, of their arses and into work.
If they came up with a policy that solved people from gladly staying on benefits for the rest of their lives, then we would not need any immigrants coming into this country to do the jobs that we as a nation should be doing.

Farage has just lost a few votes from public sector workers the young kids and the pensioners by not guaranteeing the triple lock.

I "really need to keep up the news" jeez, you really have no idea have you, I could go into detail about many other ways our laws are being skewed to keep people in this country who basically shouldn't be here but there isn't enough room on this post, it would also be a waste of time conversing with you as your already set on your views.
