Daly thankfully dropped to the bench- what a disappointment he's been since his return

Terrible team selection, terrible tactics.
The gap between Oliver and the rest was enormous and we played long ball? 11 back for set pieces and throw ins, sitting back once in front against what looked (first half) to be the poorest opposition we've seen in years.
Benn struggles defensively without McNally to bail him out and his delivery is woeful,.
Hunter was pretty much anonymous.
Charman was like watching Pacman, always running down blind alleys, or turning back into trouble.
Great opportunity for the winger from Palace to show what he could do, but we swap an attacking midfielder for a CB. It's going to be a long winter..

To be fair to Hunter, when he came off the midfield opened up for Solihull to run through, some good defending and excellent goalkeeping saving us.

Charman holds the ball well and is an asset but like you say keeps it too long at times, he would be much better through the middle and give Oliver support.

The Palace winger? You mean the Bournemouth one who looks to have ended his loan? Not on bench yesterfay so month must be up.

We have gone back to Sarll days though, get a goal up and defend for your life!

Maybe a few days to get Reid back to fitness or Johnson to link up with Oliver might help.

mind you it was nice to see at least one regular CB starting the game and finishing with 2 of them on the pitch. the loss of mcnally and the other two is the main reason we are where we are. why the hell fid we not bring a loanee cb until january is beyond me once mcnally was out till christmas unless the money is really gone. agree about the loan winger coming on for francis who never got into the game and when he did he mafe no impact for once.

or out of favour due to his startling performances on the pitch. we surely are not that bad when fans question where walker is.

Hunter is 50:50 for a yellow card every time he plays, but he does get stuck in!

Jamie Miley is very popular with a lot of fans (the NWC was singing his name when he came on) but he needs to do more to live up to the hype and those fancy red boots. His run with the ball at the death set up the second goal, but the game passed him by for 30 minutes before that.

Nowt's been said about Walker being injured. He's just dropped from the squad.

There must be enough contacts in the BORED room to call in favours. RE Loans

the only thing you could say is league clubs are still in the trophy and starting the FA Cup journeys with a few still involved in the league cup. with injuries and suspensions coming in where its cb who seem to get the most, the club has tried but nobody wishes to loan players out yet. however it would be nice if they even said they have tried and have had kickbacks. most likely sod all ever happened.

We got Michael Dacosta Gonzalez in on a one-month youth loan in September. He'll have gone back to Bournemouth now, and didn't show enough to be missed.

It's odds on there's scope for another, but will Pools sign anyone else till a new manager is confirmed? Whoever gets the job has to work with Grayson's squad as it is.

mind you with the light and the end of the tunnel being seen regarding injuries there is a good reason for the club to do nothing till a new manager is confirmed. we might be in need for the new manager bounce come december when we enter the trophy against much binding in the marsh colliery and allotments association at the vic.

It strikes me that the last batch of managers have been asked the equivalent of changing an engine with an adjustable spanner and a pair of pliers. Not only that but you’ve got two hours to complete the job.
