That's the 10th gone in the NL this season - 9 sacked and Tommy Widdrington dropped down to a lower level for the sake of his health and sanity. Absolute madness.

We're doing quite well really we've only got 1 name in the hall of shame so far, will we get through a full season with less than 3 managers?

Shrewd appointment that would be, Seems similar to DC and likes to play decent football.

It is absolute madness but the never ending queue of applicants doesn't appear to wane.

Why don't the NL put the managers' names in a hat.
Pull them out and assign each one to a team.
Every 6 months the names are put back in a hat and repeat.

Solve a lot of problems if they did.
Managers are paid by the NL a salary and given a job to do.

I reckon they’ll go for the ever popular cheapest available offer…with a discount.

what did they expect to happen losing good players and replacing them with inferior ones. we have all seen this before closer to home. not many managers can survive on that but somehow owners expect them to do so and forget the money made out of there signings.

Would be an excellent appointment but like DC do not think Raj would be able to handle him.

Admittedly there’s a lot of pressure in this league for all party’s with only two going up, it’s the fly in the ointment and should ne changed to three to remove this bottleneck.

Lets face it you have to be really shite to finish in the bottom 3 of Lge2, Or poorly run!

it aint the fault of the fans who support those clubs unless they stayed away in big numbers. think id we has remained in league 2 our views on relegated teams might be a bit different now. even the couple of oldham fans i know seem to have very short memories and would quickly pull up the drawbridge now and drop the portcullis on league 2 relegation.

I agree Accy- once you've made it back over the fence into the EFL, you're not going to want to increase your own chances of returning to the abyss, in the name of fairness to others still cast adrift.

You look after number 1. Would we give a shit if we hadn't returned to this shithole?

Once we'd escaped, every effort should have been made to stay there - unfortunately the Chairman's penny pinching put paid to that - and here we are for the foreseeable.

3 up/ 3 down ain't ever going to happen- it's just bluster by the entitled ex league clubs like ourselves.

The only way I could see it happening is if the whole pyramid was restructured - National league became League 3 and was maybe split north/ south. Again that's not going to happen anytime soon.

I don't like it and take no pleasure in saying it, however until Raj sails off into the sunset, we are where we are.

yes, and apart from our promotion season it never matted a jot for us if that extra place was available. have only one interest and its pools and could not give a flying one really about other clubs problems and that includes there fans who mostly feel the same way about pools.
