He is a VERY average manager, and was a VERY average player

He introduced the Sex Pistols on the Filthy Lucre comeback tour in 96 at Finsbury Park..y'knaa.

I somehow doubt that will help guide our young players to World Cup glory

It's seems mediocrity is rewarded quite well these days!

He did, along with Chris Waddle I seem to remember. He used to visit Rock City in Nottingham when he was at Forest if there was someone of that era playing as well. I saw him at Stiff Little Fingers and the Buzzcocks.

So I suppose you'd rather appoint someone with proven quality credentials at the highest level.. Someone like Sven!!! Some good he did didn't he!

Must agree with Mutt on the as well starman point.. and as for having passion for the game thats another thing ..At least you couldn't accuse him of being a gutless mercenary who never did the business when it counted...Unlike some others I could mention!! rage

Yes I would

It's jobs for the boys now, Mclaren has set the England team back 15 years, we will struggle to qualify for Euro 2008, at least Sven could get the team past the group stages and into the quater finals, which is about the best ANYONE could do with the bunch of overrated show ponies who pull on the England shirt

As for Pearce, in levels of cackness, he is just above that equally useless tool Peter Taylor

PS

NO England player 'has done the business' since 1990 and Pearce was part of the setup for at least another seven years
