Our heroes who die in battle return to their beloved country at Wootten Basset and it is tragic to see the pain that their families have to go through.
Now I hate the system that we choose to live in, but surely if every soldier, sailor, airman has made a sacrifice, where is the 'Royal' presence at each of these 'homecomings'

There must be enough Royals to go round to at least be present and show their respects to someone who has sacrificed their life in the name of their country, after all, the allegience is to Queen and country

Doesn't that go against the whole point? The respect shown by the people of Wootton Bassett is not organised, its entirely spontaneous. If a royal attendee is arrange then it ceases to become so. The Royals show their respect in lots other ways including serving in various armed conflicts.
