I heard that as well, feckin Kevin Ball my most detested Sunderland player ever, and I detest each and everyone of them, even the ones that come to Pools have to earn the right to lose their 'Makem points'.
They start on 20 points and lose them a couple at a time when they impress , Marco Gabbiadini lost his in one go when he chose us over the loids, Ben Clark lost the last of his when he , well you can guess when he lost them , and Darren Williams lost the last of his a few games ago, Michael Proctor still has 18, he lost 2 when he scored against darLOW in the cup last year !!!!

How many points do borers start with?

None , I have no feelings either way towards Borer, in fact I don't even consider them as rivals, they to me are one of the few 'bigger 'clubs that draw the majority of their support from within or within a very close vicinity to the actual town of Middlesbro.
Mags start with 15 points and ex-loids start with 20 the same as Makems although I actually detest the Makems slightly more than darLOW.
Even the great Brian Honour started with 20 points although he lost them very quickly !!!!

It's due to growing up in Peterlee, then working with the red n white b'stards for 23 years Kev, they were so patronising towards us and other 'little clubs'.
That night at Roker Park in the Sherpa Van in the 80's was only ever bettered by going to Cardiff, I turned up at work nearly 2 hours early that day just so I could take the piss out of the night shift lads as well, I don't think there was a single Makem fan I missed out and there were around 700 people working there at the time, the majority of them Makems, I must have collected around 30+ Mars Bars/KitKats and a fair bit of cash in bets as well, there was 2 lads who even had to wear Pools scarves all day too.
