The answer none came by boat, they aren’t allowed to work, these are people who applied for visas to work in the U.K. The population has grown significantly since you were younger so more services are required, it was recently in press the population of Hartlepool has grown to 100000 although I am not sure how far the boundaries of Hartlepool extend to now, they include Wynyarde i believe.

exactly none came by boat. you are not telling me if any of the thousands who have come that way if they were previously medical proffesionals they,d be taken to one side and fastracked into work if there are so many vacancies. then they are the wrong sex to do care work as it seems a female job and not many lasses crossed that way.

Not sure what planet you live on Accy, they arrive with no documentation, do think they arrive with their CV, how could be verified if they were professional people ?

Socialist yes, Reform phobic yes as the gullible get taken in by his constant rhetoric of immigration and boat crossings have caused all the UKs economic problems. Reform have yet to come up with credible policies on how they will fix the U.K. economy.
Obsessed by finance, not obsessed, interested, i only ever leave a minimal amount in a building society or bank account due to their paltry interest rates. Is it a crime as a socialist I not am allowed to invest elsewhere as advised by an IFA ?
What interests do you have Snowy apart from constantly being on The Bunker all day, from very early morning till late ?
Just because you have no interest in financials don’t go slagging people off who do, you have a very bad habit of doing that, live and let live Snowy.

I suppose you want a timetable of Snowys dogwalks and his log in times of the Bunker.

I don’t need to but every time I glance at Bunker Snowy is online.

All you Reform supporters out there, Farage and Yusef are holding a press conference at 11 o’clock today, 2 spokespersons who are not MPs, why not 30p Lee, Braverman or Tice ?
Will they mention how if a Reform government gets into power how they will revive the economy, nope it will another same old story about immigration and another unworkable solution and the gullible will be taken in again.
Will he reveal he was duped into believing that as he stood down all Parliamentary Committees charges against him would be dropped ?
Nope he will say how all foreign prisoners will be deported to places like El Salvador, dear me he must have connections to free up places for U.K. criminals, I wouldn’t pray for what you wish for Nige you could be end up being one over your dodgy financial dealings currently being investigated.

Watched a short clip, deport prisoners similar to the failed Rwanda scheme, Farage ducked the question what Reforms policies would be if a G.E. was called.

Why should Farage lay out a manifesto when there's no GE due. Does it matter anyway, Labour aren't sticking to theirs?
One thing for certain, after this Labour government is finished the economy will be in a worse state than what they inherited, it always is after Labour have been in power.
As you never swerve a question, can you just remind me where you posted the list of good stuff that Labour have done in the last 2 years, I can't seem to find it?

What do I do…?…...well at present I’m replacing the roof on my ‘bunker’, just had a lot of work boxing in new UPVC windows that have been fitted and built a/new shed to store garden tools
……..personally I enjoy painting and drawing, read a book a day, mostly reference….go out to eat, enjoy a drive out in the country…and being with my dogs…..you appear to do very little that involves breaking into a sweat.
I slag no one off, just take the piss.
As for my time on the bunker…I just leave the I Pad to run as I check sites for prices so it’s on my workbench just left turned on unattended silly boy  ….so I have a look at it intermittently….your trouble is you don’t like being challenged and always kick back with the usual guff when rumbled… but there’s a list on shift work of posters out here to correct you…and the irony goes right over your head :D

No party ever sticks to their manifesto, they design it to get elected like Reform did for the last election unfortunately the gullible were taken in thinking a bunch of far right wing millionaires would improve the quality of life of the working class.
After only just over 2 years in power it is difficult to judge as yet any good stuff but hey Rome wasn’t built in a day, the Tories had 14 years, what did they achieve ?

Nigel Farage mimics Donald Trump by using distraction and deflection to shift focus away from personal scandals, financial scrutiny, and difficult media questions.Farage assumes he can evade accountability the way Trump does, though it fits poorly in UK politics.
Farage has been having some bad press of recent because of his financial dealings, so what does he do, the week before it was get the Royal Navy involved, that backfired now it’s send prisoners to El Salvador.

Starmer was beyond useless…Burnham only got elected because the voters saw him as the anti Starmer candidate…ne’s now doing the rounds selling himself as the ‘blokey one of the lads’ …what audience he’s appealing to,….God only knows.
Meanwhile, his MP’s hope he can save their necks.

So, "no party ever sticks to a manifesto" - then why are you asking what Reforms policies are when we're nearly 3vyears still to a GE?
Nearly halfway through an electoral term (not exactly early days is it) and you can't give us a single example of anything good that Labour have done!
I'd suggest that it is more a case that the gullible were taken in by Starmer at the last election rather than a party with 7 MPs.

why do manifesto,s bother people so much. its just a pointless exercise that is relevant only on the day its written but other circumstances out of the control of any party can make it unusable.

not a lot which might be better for us than 14 years continuous labour rule. we,ll be controlled in a way covid would feel like freedom for all. you,ll have the bunker to yourself as most of us will be either dead, in the nick or our devices confiscated for the greater good. hope they keep those boats in storage at dover as many of the younger ones might be needing them by 2040. could be a good subject for a book or film script predicting what englandstan will be like after all these labout years.

I wonder if Jamie's memory stretches back as far as Blair and Brown for nearly as long as the Tory's were in power? When they finished the job of de-industrialising the nation, tried to send most school leavers pointlessly to Uni, took us I to an illegal war, robbed pension funds, sold off the gold reserves, and left the Tory's with a note to say there was no money left?
History is what it is, government is about managing the present and preparing for the future - well the present is worse than it was 2 years ago, and the future looks more bleak than for decades. Great job Labour eh?

I might be in a minority, but deporting convicted criminals back to their country if origin, or shipping them out to serve their sentences in some shit hole of a country and prison system sounds like good policy to me. Far better than letting them out early to recommit crimes in our country.

And they arrived without documentation having paid thousands for the privilege of a dinghy crossing because they know a legal approach to come here will fail, not because their documentation was left behind or destroyed as they fled from war torn France or Belgium. They're Fecking wrong-uns not Drs, nurses, and care workers.

I'm all for it,along with the majority of the UK, on the other hand this government would rather fight against the removal of murderers and rapists and that's a fact, a good few will have already had a taste of prison life judging by what we've seen over here...We could argue it would be home from home for some..

Have you seen any of the CVs of the arrivals PTID, some of them might be professionals others not, most can’t apply from asylum in their home country.
What does annoy me is U.K. governments have given the French governments over a billion pounds, they must be using it to buy boats for them.
Going back to Farage, he mentioned El Salvador, Reform haven’t had any consultation with them, again the gullible will be taken in, I await a press conference from Reform where they are going to tell us how they are going to sort the U.K. economy out, the last 2 didn’t mention that.

Like the rest taken in by Reform, do you think you just round them up and put them on a plane, for a start to remove the U.K. from ECHR takes 6 months plus then all the legal cases. The lawyers will be rubbing their hands, hundreds of thousands to cash in only

What industries did Blair and Brown shutdown, there wasn’t any left although they created universities from polytechnics

out of all those numbers quoted how many of them came to the country via dover and calais on a dinghy or could or want to work for the NHS if they did. every country in the world advertise abroad for jobs and we never needed to be in the eu to do this. as a kid going to hospital most doctors seemed to have Stein ot Berg at the end of their names and the nurses all seemed irish.

Not sure what planet you live on Accy, they arrive with no documentation, do think they arrive with their CV, how could be verified if they were professional people ?
i live on a planet where if i went to another country for asylum i,d take every piece of documentation i had with me and not try to hide who i actually was. thats ok for me as the only record i have is some 78,s.
And how could they prove it was genuine, I am a brain surgeon so what ?

Why should Farage lay out a manifesto when there's no GE due. Does it matter anyway, Labour aren't sticking to theirs?
One thing for certain, after this Labour government is finished the economy will be in a worse state than what they inherited, it always is after Labour have been in power.
As you never swerve a question, can you just remind me where you posted the list of good stuff that Labour have done in the last 2 years, I can't seem to find it?

No party ever sticks to their manifesto, they design it to get elected like Reform did for the last election unfortunately the gullible were taken in thinking a bunch of far right wing millionaires would improve the quality of life of the working class.
After only just over 2 years in power it is difficult to judge as yet any good stuff but hey Rome wasn’t built in a day, the Tories had 14 years, what did they achieve ?

Difficult for you to judge maybe, the rest of us have them well sussed.

It is Jamie’s ‘boss’ after all

My boss, I retired 14 years ago at 62 years of age.

I'm all for it,along with the majority of the UK, on the other hand this government would rather fight against the removal of murderers and rapists and that's a fact, a good few will have already had a taste of prison life judging by what we've seen over here...We could argue it would be home from home for some..

A pay per view system to see how they are all getting on would be great!

Like the rest taken in by Reform, do you think you just round them up and put them on a plane, for a start to remove the U.K. from ECHR takes 6 months plus then all the legal cases. The lawyers will be rubbing their hands, hundreds of thousands to cash in only

Nigel will be onto this, you know his thoughts on ECHR...Have you any idea how much that mob of 230 who arrived on ONE boat yesterday will cost us over their lifetime?

Under Blair and Brown traditional manufacturing industries closed down as service and business services sectors grew. Fact, manufacturing jobs dropped by nearly half (1.5 million jobs and of a lower working age population than today's).
The last deep coal mines closed under Blair / Brown.

anybody right of centre in now far right by the left. do the far left exist in this country. possibly very few in the same way as the far right do not exist in massive numbers. if you compare the atlee and blair governments you could call the 1945 elected one far left if blair was the labour norm. i,d say reform is closer to thatcher than the tories who supported johnson.

I did a Google search of what's expected in the Autumn budget.
And basically zero.
And the c tax to land value tax will take 5 years to implement.

He will get his cushy 125k a year life pension Burnham then Farage etc. while the English tax payer pay for it and the Boaties continue their free lives.

Anutha 10 years and we outnumbered.
Thats when not working works.

Ah well global warming up to Mediterranean temps by then so not all bad.

Reform UK is widely described by political scientists, researchers, and media outlets as a right-wing populist far-right party, though the party itself rejects the "far-right" label and insists it is a mainstream patriotic
movement.
The Reform Party is generally considered to be further to the right and more hard-right than the Conservative Party, specifically on social and cultural issues.

Can you ever remember a budget from any party over the years making you better off, they give it in one hand but take it back in the other.

We might have had far left individual politicians and trade union leaders but have we ever had a far left government ?

The BBC recently had to retract an article describing the Reform party as "Far Right". After a threat of legal action from Reform they quickly edited out the far right tag and apologised for their mistakes, so it would appear from a legal definition they are not Far Right.

Everyone has a right to an opinion, my opinion is Reform as is an AI generated one they are a far right party, whilst Reform has threatened to sue many organisations and institutions it has never gone through with them it’s another of Farage trying to emulate Trump unfortunately they don’t have the same clout as Trump. It looks likes Trumps suing of the BBC over Panorama has come to a halt, BBC have provided their financial records, Trump has been asked for his and he hasn’t been forthcoming as yet.
