The Poolie Bunker

More than likely be a quiet 23 game Protest during the summer when the STs renewals get binned.

If Raj Singh is digging into his own pocket it’s much more likely to be heading Boro’s way than Pools. Having said that, with the end of the season now coming over the horizon you would think that - unless he is planning to wind the club up - purely from a business point of view - he would be looking at contract renewals, sponsorship, ground maintenance (including relaying the bitch).

Whatever we may think of him, Raj is a successful businessman and forward planning must by default be part of his psyche, even if us riff-raff fans continue to be mushroomed, as is his way. I would therefore expect some announcements (at least to contractors, suppliers etc) before too long - although probably not until the side have secured mathematical safety from dropping into the pit of death that is the NLN.

*pitch*

the sales will drop but there will always be many that renue who have done for years but pick the games they attend. if you can throw money down the drain like that i doubt the present situation will put these off.

Still we chatter but no one moves……talk, talk, talk.

Most people are at the ‘couldn’t give a shit ‘ stage. Admin, or even liquidation wouldn’t be a tragedy. We’d form a new club and be passionate about it. with the current ground and 4000 in it every game we’d be back up to NL level pretty quickly and league not long afterwards.

Loads of Sponsors n Fans hanging back knowing that's not far away.
Back the reborn or take non ambition arse licking to ya graves ya sad bastads.

Too many die hard Rajettes.

just consider the excitement of a new start and compare it to what we’re suffering now. As thing stand, next season we’ll look back on this team as a golden age.

We feared the future because we’re wasting today.
Time to look to the future.

Personally, I would let Raj know he should go. Even if he is not at games he'll find out what's been said. I know some fear his thin skin and what he'll do if riled but... there is less and less to lose. Unless we just wait and see and endure the pain.

One thing though, talking of the minutea of tactics and formations and new managers is just pointless.

We could bring in the best manager in the world and only improve slightly. I feel sorry for the long line of managers who have had their careers blighted by an impossible job.

Spot on The future with Raj is dark and very cloudy but a future without him looks a lot brighter regardless what option we take.

Just look at Gateshead had their team ripped apart again and have won 3 of the last 4 yet us puppets can't win a game at home. The people involved in this club are a joke shape up or ship out.

Got to add my agreement too.

We are never getting to the football league with this guy in charge so maybe it's time to stop being scared if raj sells to someone highly unlikely great, but let's not be scared of the worst that's what he has over everyone.

When you see them lowering the lifeboats out, you know it’s time to get in …better a floating lifeboat than a sinking liner.

With Sing there is no future.
Without him the Optimism is reborn.

How any fan wanting him to stay and prolong this Failure is absolutely disgusting.
Time to log out.

I've seen better defending at U.10 level, comically bad, watch the highlights of today's game and at one point there is six Pools defenders in the box marking nobody and two Aldershot players to the right hand side totally unmarked, I mean do they actually know what defending is?, they are all so lazy for Aldershots third they just put their hands up for an offside that never comes instead of making an effort... pathetic.

Is he actually still there or is it running on auto pilot…

In my view the club is at its lowest ebb ever. We may not be in a relegation battle just yet but it is looking increasingly likely that we could well be given that we are failing miserably to beat the worst teams in the NL. So many squad members appear to already have their feet up and swilling pints in the departure lounge. The question needs to be asked is which bright spark within the management team took the decision to hand over the reins to the unproven Skippy with almost a quarter of the season remaining and Pools still in with a decent shot at the playoffs.

We weren’t exactly buzzing under Lenny but at least we weren’t gifting points to the struggling sides. One win in six games under Skippy is unacceptable, all that he has achieved is to fart about with team selections, tactics and kill off any chance of Pools reaching the playoffs. Worryingly (although not unexpectedly), many of the bottom sides are finding their form as relegation looms and struggling mid-table sides such as Pools will represent easy pickings as crunch time approaches.

a case of a lucky manager being better than a good one if he was. if we had lost at sutton his record could be one of the worst we have had by the time its over.

I guess Skippy hadn’t had time to make an impact on tactics before the Sutton win but boy has he made a big difference since then - unfortunately it has been a depressingly negative one. Watching the highlights from yesterday’s game it looks increasingly evident that many players have simply given up the ghost. How much this attitude is due to Skippy or just plain apathy is open to conjecture.

could be that they are so used not winning anymore they have become like us, expecting the worst to happen. if the same players had gone there on a winning run we,d probebly would have won. building confidence is harder than just practising set pieces on a training ground a tactics that some will not want forced upon them.

One of the basics of professional football is that if you cannot win a game always ensure that you don’t lose it. Skippy and his seemingly less than fully committed charges have pathetically managed to throw the baby out of the pram with the bath water twice in the space of a few days. From what I’m hearing, a significant drop in attendance is guaranteed for the York game, luckily for RSingh the away fans will more than make up the numbers.

A boycott or a match day protest only work if you attend the matches in person. Throwing stuff at the telly or switching off the dodgy stick has no impact whatsoever.

do not tell him that or he,ll shut the rest of the ground and make it for york fans only and put us all in the rink end.

Well ya just knocked me off the top of the Superfan Leader board.

But I enjoyed the short stay there.

Obviously….but irrelevant……...if you don’t actually attend matches they don’t give a toss, forget em….but a percentage drop in actual attendance is the only real guide to go by.

Not really irrelevant as I guess there's a fair number who post on here who don't go and haven't for a while. Therefore this place is hardly a suitable rallying point for a concerted and effective match day protest.

problem for him is that he has dropped points by going for wins in our last two games as draws have killed our season even before he got the job. 2 extra points that we could have got would mean nothing at the end of the season. would be just the same for any manager who we had got now. feel he is getting some extra stick due to where we are in the league with wins the only priority.
