The wife was a bit concerned how the fireworks affect Ratboy as he interprets them as trying to get into the house so goes apeshit on turbo.
Came in and the wife has bought him a padded ‘hat’ from somewhere…he looks like a Russian tank driver.

A mate of mine has a Spinone Italians and he was telling me it was scared shitless whenever the fireworks were going off, I commented that I found that strange for a gundog. My mate quickly shot back "don't forget he's Italian"!!

Maybe the instructions wording has been changed and chavs are a bit confused.
Mind you we had some clowns having a firework display on a sunny day in July along Catcote Road, a bit like swimming in sand, so it’s probably hereditary.

we have to get through the most h ated day in the year first, hallo bloody een. round my way bonfire night is dead with the odd bangs going off after 10 at night. cannot think of even an organised fire anymore as most of the old mills have been victims of arson by now.

It is sad that people have to go to great lengths simply because the powers that be can't seem to get a grip on this and we hear the same rhetoric year in and year out, and not only on bonfire night itself.

Like all the other seasonal events who actually knows the real meaning of them now, I assume supermarkets are starting to stock the shelves with the Christmas goodies now or did that just happen in August ?

I recall Halloween and Bonfire night trash being on the shelves iin some shops in mid August just before I went on holiday. When I returned the shops were rammed with Christmas junk too, including mince pies and other festive food that would be past their sell by date long before Christmas.

I don’t mind fireworks, but the power of some must be illegal and the chavs of all ages compete with their shows in much the same way tedious people is used to brag about their Xmas Turkey, which if checked out, in reality must have been a plucked Ostrich..

we need to take a breath and think about it for a minute. we are inconvenianced a bit by fireworks going off all the time and get wound up by christmas goods in the shops in a heatwave. do not moan too much as there are powers in this country who would love to see the end of all our traditions to concentrate on festivals of other religeons. with the re writing of our histoey guy fawkes will become a muslim who attempted to burn down a far right parliament.
