Well done to Scotland for qualifying.
Not being cruel, but ai suppose qualifying is their target, if you follow my reasoning.

Watched the highlights, 3 world class goals, they nearly blew it, the penalty decision to me was doubtful, he must have been millimetres inside the box. Yep they are not going to win it but a great achievement considering the limited players they have to choose from nowadays. If they get a favourable draw and are based in North America they might make some progress. Bearing in mind Scotland were assisted by FIFA as they have increased the number of teams to play in the finals.

with all the extra places for the next final they might be looking to proceed out of the group stage. a lots down to the luck of this draw and i,d guess now england will be much luckier than the jocks will be in theirs.

That's a bit of a stretch as they won their group. There were 10 groups in 2022 and 12 groups in 2026 so only 2 additional group winners. If they won a group 4 years ago they would have qualified. If you were suggesting Denmark, Italy, Wales and Ireland still having a chance of qualifying assisted by FIFA due to the play-offs you may have a point.

I'm sure the Scots will enjoy their trip to North America and be welcomed wherever they go as their supporters normally are. They seem to have worked out that football is a sport to be enjoyed rather than something to start a fight over.

And 3 of those goals were worthy of any team in the World

If you're wanting teams that have been helped by FIFA then having 3 host nations automatically qualify to open up additional places for this then I wouldn't disagree

plus pet match officials giving them the breaks as they know quite well once certain countries go out viewing figures will fall and less money for the tv companies. they also know that they can charge what they like and there will always be some who will find the money where a week before they were crying the poor tale.

or any other team for that matter. as long as the winner plays proper football and not just posession based tippy tappy i could not give a flying one about it.

According to a Scottish fella I worked with a few years ago who watched the game apart from the goals Scotland were playing tip tappy football, he said it has always been the way Scotland play under Clarke.
