Drove up to Trimdon via Hart and was shocked at the number of fields being covered in solar panels, it was shocking.
Is the North East the mute dumping ground for them and wind turbines..I’ve driven all over Northumberland, the Lakes and North Yorkshire/ Lancashire this year and surprised how few I encountered in these places but were seeing the everywhere we look..
Just a thought …but as we don’t make them and most come from China are we in complete control of them as , could they be shut down by the manufacturers….
Shouldn’t we be produce them if we’re stuck with the buggers…?

the only problem with that would be the cost would be even more for us the taxpayers. i,d guess though that many are built on a green belt which means trees, grass and plants and not something so hideous that looks straight out of a 50,s science fiction film where if the windmills don,t get you these panels of death will.

who cleans them.

Its not the solar panels you have to worry about its their control of the new nuclear power stations that they are building with the French. Also I'm not sure about the panels being that smart, however the inverters and controllers might be a greater cause for concern.

When you think about we probably have in our possession something electronic which was made in China, how do we know they haven’t inserted a device/software into any of them monitoring everything we do ?

Next thing we will be doing is a belt and road initiative deal with China.

Remember the good old days when we built nuclear plants by ourselves?
Trouble is they were constantly vilified by the green loons for years and became unpopular, stopping development and all because the three huggers had a hissy fit.
This mad rush by this government should only have been made once we could produce our own equipment instead of importing it, this is a fools errand especially with the Chinese kit…thanks for nowt Millibean.

instead of calling them solar panels they should be re named smart panels and that will solve everything. everyone should know if something is called smart they actually are.
