SaigonSaddler · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 4:17 pm

Home side coming back into it......

SaigonSaddler · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 4:24 pm

Barker desperately close on 21 mins confised

SaigonSaddler · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 4:33 pm

Close again but good defending according to BBC Radio WM

SaigonSaddler · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 4:50 pm

HT:

Sounds like you've more of the play but not creating much, with us defending well. Ince with one save to make. If only we had someone fast to take advantage of counter-attacks.

I would still take a draw.

1-1

Firm header after a great save by Ince.

Steady on that's not allowed! refred

You've been lurking on here for ages......

Post when you're drawing, you only post when you're scoring.......

277 made the trip from Walsall - 5,800+ attendance. I'm sure if the weather had been better there would have been more from both sets of supporters.

SaigonSaddler · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 5:40 pm

You hit the post.......gulp.........hanging on :!:

Well, well out of order

Did sound offside from the commentary - but they all count if the ref gives them

To be fair even our commentator reckoned the third was scored despite Barker being a yard offside.....

SaigonSaddler · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 5:56 pm

.........

Montpoolier · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 5:57 pm

We needed that goal to catch Swindon's GD. It changes sod all for Walsall really.

Off out now, cheers for the company - see you in Division 1 next season.

Montpoolier · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 6:00 pm

In fact when you think about it, it's the first time we've scored more than two since Wrexham at home.
One-nilling every game was getting a bit tiresome anyway.

SaigonSaddler · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 7:40 pm

Oh well, still top and plenty more points to play for. All going swimmingly until 3 mins to go........

What does concern me is that there are now 5 teams all going for 3 places and our form isn't great at present. I think we'll improve when the pitches get better.

Lincoln at Home on Friday and the chance to avenge this grotty 'mugging' by a group of grubby hoodlums.

Not a great fan of the underhanded tactics employed by our hosts today, namely - scoring goals.

Please be advised it is neither big nor clever to beat the Champions elect and deflate the pride of by far the greatest team the world has ever seen!

Montpoolier · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 8:06 pm

Just beat Lincoln and evething will be just dandy!

(I'm nothing if not pragmatic - you can have the title as long as we get top 3!)

nick · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 8:54 pm

Walsall were very hard working and may well finish in the top 3.

Our class shone through and we dominated though. A tremendous performance.

poolpower · **Posted:** Sat Feb 10, 2007 10:56 pm

sorry Mr Saigon
but you won;t find a better pitch than pools even at this time of the year

i will say you looked a good side but we looked stupendous
the band waggon rolls on

i must say thank you for giving our players some much needed shooting practice it took us long enough but we were getting the hang of it towards the end
