just before it started they were showing a couple of trailers for dramas coming up then suddenly i thought i saw trumpton come on the t.v.

there was a fella standing on top of the box they used to pop up out of, and it said trumpton on the box, with the words bbc colour across the screen, and the announcer said how are you today and the fella put his hands over his eyes and the announcer said " are you sad because you have seen ( named another trumpton character ) kicking in a nonce ? " and then it showed a trumpton lad duffing up another trumpton lad and then it just went off the screen and they said and now for the first in a two part episode of waking the dead.

at first i was gobsmacked but now ive pretty much convinced myself i have simply had an lsd flashback.

if anyone else saw this please let me know.

you are correct Chip....i saw it and thought it was advertising a re run of the program so took no notice of it but yes....it just went off......bizzare i think

It's an advert for the new series of Life on Mars, the one where the copper goes into a coma after an accident and wakes up in 1973, quite good the 1st series>
