Unbelievable. If he is injured that means the list is pretty lengthy: Benn, John, Miley, Kougon, McKeowm, Chelsea goalie and that midfielder who has never played. That eight counting Earing. Talk about an injury curse....

Pools good value for the win but not sure we’re 3-0 better. The difference has been that Pools (whisper it) have taken their chances and defended well.

As I type this they’ve got one back 3-1

After that dodgy penalty Pools absorbed huge pressure very well and now hit FGR with a sucker punch 4th. All in all an excellent performance all round.

Definitely didn’t see this coming. We got a bit of fortune with our 2nd and 3rd goals, keeper should’ve dealt with 2nd and 3rd looked like it took a pretty big deflection, but no doubts about Sheron’s 30 yard rocket. He’s (deservedly) gotten stick from me but I’ll take my hat off to him, what a goal son.

I’m really pleased after watching that. Would’ve been easy for us to fold after Forest Green pulled it back to 3-2, but we tightened things back up at the back and saw it through. Our best performance of the season by a mile. Not vintage like the 4 goals would suggest, but we needed a bit of luck to get out of this rut we’ve been in. Up the effin Pools baby!!

To quote their commentators:
Well drilled, well organised, defensively solid and full of confidence.
Just shows what you get when you have a manager who knows what he’s doing.

Over the moon, me like. As I said above, Pete Wild really has worked magic. Winning at a place like FGR after our frankly disasterous form is incredible. Just shows that our players just needed some clear guidance from a gaffer who knows what he is doing. I know, its only one win so lets not lose perspective but by heck it was a good one.

If that’s the foundation then there is more to come. Not a bad start by Wild and performing like that the play offs are not unattainable. Theres still a lot of this season left.

8 goals in 12 games then score 4 away from home. No wonder bookies make money!

Forest Green quality side, fast as fuck, ball on the floor. Cant understand why they are down there. Our finishing for once top quality . Bit like a cup game. Still alot of work to do but god those goals are fantastic, mom Sheron yes Sheron

We are staying up, say we are staying up

Hard to argue with a 6 goal thriller. Pete Wild's starting 11 did great. The substitutions and switch to 4-5-1 when we were 3-0 up didn't really work, but Pools saw the win out in the end.

I was really impressed with Deeming tonight, and what about Sheron - especially considering he was booked in the 2nd minute!

Great result, 33% increase in our points tally. Possible tally for the season is 111. The only downside was the effect Nolan had on the game...zero.

Even when they pulled two back and the three points were under threat I was consoling myself that if we play like that for the majority of the rest of the season we should be okay.

One swallow doesn’t make a summer but I think we all, as fans, were due a bit of relief from the torrid pap we’ve had to endure for the last few weeks.

Sheron man of the match although Hughill was also excellent and a massive loss when he went off. Well done Pete Wild on having the balls to drop our 2 big summer signings as we were much better without them and significantly weaker when they came on.

Great win 4 goals away from home shows we have the capability to climb up the league just need to stop the silly mistakes in defence

Notice Forest Green say they are not appointing a manager and four coaches will be in charge…that worked out well….sounds like what we’ve just thrown overboard.

Sitting back at 3-0 and handing the initiative over to the Veggies didn't help.
