What does him liking trading cards have to do with bromby and partners appointing a clueless manager who all us fans even questioned when his name was put out? Using him giving away pints and the signs against him when 95% of fans praised both things as recently as 2 weeks ago… our squad is quite clearly better then what we had under Raj and even tho I agree with Clark and the midfield, Landon said he didn’t know much about football and had appointed people who supposedly did to run the club, he can’t do much more then that in my eyes! He’s gave the recruitment team a budget and they’ve clearly fucked it by the looks!

The point is the club putting out all this PR about the club going global and putting stupid AI battle cry poems on the stadium shouldn’t buy good will when you can’t get it right on the pitch.

Just because he hired someone else to do the signings doesn’t mean Landon is free of any blame. He signed off on them, he signed off on this manager. The book stops with him. Most football club owners are clueless and increasingly at the top level many are clueless Americans. And when they (or the people who they hire) mess it up, they rightfully are criticised. Just because Landon has done some PR stuff doesn’t mean we can’t blame him.

What does he get blame for though? Hiring a recruitment firm of ex players and people very experienced in working in football for many years? If they say we want Clarke or xyz player as he’s said he isn’t fully clued up on football so why would he go against them? I know what your saying about Clark in particular’s resume it’s not the best to say the least but someone with no experience in football at all never mind our level isn’t going to go against what multiple experienced footballing people in this country are saying. He’s hired them to do the job as he’s admitted he couldn’t do it himself, they looked to have fucked it.

I understand what you’re saying. It makes sense to delegate when you’re not an expert. But at the end of the day he’s bought a football club, and as the owner of the club he is ultimately responsible for the success or lack thereof. You can’t just absolve him of any blame. If this carries on in typical Pools fashion and we go on sacking managers every year and bringing in new consultants or directors of football each summer and they fail are we going to blame the consultants or the guy who hires them?

The owner 100% but I just think it’s too early to blame him personally, like you say if we get rid of the manager and staff and consultants and then next season is a shitshow aswell with the same mistakes it’ll be on the owner as much as anyone else, just for now I can’t really say Landon has gone about it in the wrong way, more hired the wrong people imo.

I watched the game from Belfast on DAZN and here is my thoughts for what they are worth;

Halifax looked like just another very poor but physical side. They didn't have one classy looking player, neither did we!!!

Pools midfield looked like they were all trying to get on the ball but in the same spaces and all running around without any of them getting their heads up and taking any kind of control.

Pools defence and goalkeeper looked solid enough for the most part, the error for the goal aside they look like they won't concede many.

I haven't seen much of pools lately with living away but it seems to me that the midfield is just too light weight and slow.

There was optimism with a couple of the fullbacks and wide players but there doesn't seem to be any confidence.

Clark was static on the touchline and it doesn't seem like there was any kind of plan tactically.

Borehamwood are now already too far ahead for us to challenge them for a top spot so i think it will be mid table or trying to get into the playoffs.

How come Hornchurch seem to have a great coach yet we continue to select has been coaches?

Apologies, but it was a hard watch and I feel for the brilliant 650 Poolies who travelled down on a Tuesday, total attendance was only about 1700 I think. Halifax ground looks and sounds soul less.

Clark said in his post match interview on X the budget has been spent, no more money in the pot, we are stuck with the players we currently have.
