Great signing, one of our best performers from last season and another who loves to get forward.
We've gone from a squad who's managed said we didn't have the ability to attack teams to a squad that looks as if defence will be the last thing we need to worry about - maybe going to surprise everyone by playing 11 outfielders and that's why we've not signed a keeper!!!!!

Playing devil's advocate here...the back four for our 7-0 mauling at Wealdstone last season was Benn, John, Hunter and Kouogun, all who are still present, no repeats of that performance next season I hope, mind they had the appalling Hayes behind them

I'll be surprised if that's out starting back 4, Hunter won't be starting and I reckon Benn might be missing too for the Barrow game.
Besides which conceding 7 won't be a problem if we're scoring 8 - homage to KK with Clarke's Entertainers.

most teams get a hammering over a full season and do one on a club themselves. it comes from nowhere like that defeat did even though the players looked to have walked half way from the vic.

agree. if i had the choice of one or the other york loanee i,d have gone for cam.

Couldn't understand how Mark Kitching was York's preferred LWB when Cam was their player?
We must have decent cover and options in every position now apart from keeper.
A very strong squad potentially, and a manager who won't be treating every opponent before and during matches as if they're Barcelona. Can't wait for being in the terraces again in a fortnight's time.

No guarantees in this game but you can't fault the effort and finances Smithy is putting into our club.

A fellow Poolie thinks we haven't spent a penny because all the signings are free transfers.

think cam and kitching are two different types of player and it might have been which one suited the manager and the team. for me cam is a defender first who gets forward when he can. kitching a glorified left winger who has to defend when he has to do probebly did not have to do too much of that last season.
